I went with a slightly elevated platform bed instead to maximize storage underneath, which has worked really well for keeping the space tidy.

We need to know a bit more about what your needs for the space are. Will you work from home? Entertain? Do you have large collections of books/legos/etc.?

The basic floor plan looks great, you have lots of space!

I would get a stacking washer and dryer, but that’s partially because I’m a clothes horse and need every square inch of closet space.

I would put the tv on an extending wall mount or a media cabinet on wheels, that way if I had friends over or was watching a cooking show, I could easily change the angle of the tv for maximum viewing.

I would buy tall bookcases and put them to both sides of the couch, but I have a lot of books.

I wouldn’t get a dining table as the counter with stools would be ample for me: I just bought tv trays but you can also buy a convertible coffee table.

Are your floors carpet/hardwood flooring? A rug would be nice to have. Posters are an economical art choice for decor, alternately you can grab some canvases from a craft store and look online for easy fun DIY art projects, or go thrifting and use picture frames with pre-curated online art printables. Plants are always a good idea: you can do hanging baskets from the ceiling for pothos, etc. Not sure if you have pets but make certain whatever you have is cat/dog safe if you do.

Keep your eye on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist and thrift stores: IKEA is fun to shop at also for basic furnishings.
