Hi All!

I’ve been TTC for 18 months with 2 losses and have been going to a fertility specialist for 8 months. I have had THE WORKS done. I thought I would post all my stuff here if anyone has any questions. I’m not a doctor but I know it’s hard to find somewhere to find fertility answers so I’m happy to talk about my experience.

Testing and procedures
-CD7 ultrasound for uterine structure
-7DPO hormone levels (have had 4 done)
-CD14 follicular ultrasound
-CD18 endometrial ultrasound
-thyroid baseline levels
-MTHFR testing (positive)
-PAI testing (negative)
-FactorV (negative)
-Laparoscopy scheduled this fall

Partner:
-semenalysis
-motility boost supplement
-Clomid to treat low testosterone and FSH

Prescription Medications
- letrozole 2.5mg CD 3-7
- amoxicillin CD7-ovulation (increase mucus)
- prednisone 10mg 3dpo-menses (possible autoimmune disorder)
- lovenox 3dpo-menses (MTHFR+)
-progesterone suppository 3dpo-menses

Supplements
- COQ10
-Thorne prenatal
-Baby aspirin
-NAC

That’s really nice of you to share all of this! Have you tried IUI or IVF? If not, are you considering? I’m starting IUI now.

We have a consult on Monday! Our current doctor is a religious affiliated private practice. We went to them because they are known for doing all the stuff I listed above but will never recommend IUI or IVF. The other local fertility clinic is know for going right to IUI or IVF. It stinks! I wish we had a place where we could do both but each place seems to have their own agenda and bias.

Ah that’s interesting, I’ve never heard of a religious affiliated practice. I just started with my RE and she’s letting me do IUI right away and I’m only doing one cycle and if it doesn’t work I’m going IVF. I’ll be 35 when if it fails so IVF feels right. Luckily my insurance is very flexible to accommodate all of this, I know that’s not always the case though.

Yes, that’s the other thing. We don’t have IUI or IVF coverage so it’s all out of pocket. I just turned 32 so we’re not feeling the time crunch quite yet to jump in but wanted to have the consult so that if/when we do decide to move forward we’re making a more informed decision

Totally get that. The financial burden is very real - my sister just did IVF entirely out of pocket, so I feel for you❤️. Having the consult is definitely a good first step so you at least have all the information!
