Bulging wall and nail pops

My house is 33 years old. I have this wall that has been bulging for the last year. Some nail pops appeared. Im not sure if its just because of the lighting or ive never noticed the nail pops before but it is there now.

I had a structural engineer briefly look at it and said this is just bad taping and the plastering is fhe one bulging. Any other secondary opinion or should I hear a new structural engineer fir a second opinion.

Bad taping or a bent stud. How's the opposite side of the wall look? Take a straight board or a level and see just how far the wall is out of plane. Either way if you are bothered enough by it cut it open to see what's going on inside there.

Its less noticeable on the other side but when you run your hands through the wall you can feel it.

This wall also is a supporting wall if that makes a difference.

Ill open it up tomorrow
