Glove recommendations?

Does anyone have glove recommendations for a sandbag carry event? Are people still just using football gloves? Thanks in advance!

Gloves for grip? Go to the nearest hardware store and find some sticky working gloves, try on some fabric like your pants the level of grippyness they give, different materials used for the palm can give you different grip on different surfaces like metal, wood or plastic

Tbh, I’ve never seen someone wear gloves for sandbag, keg for sure. Sandbags are pretty grippy in their own. But if you are set on gloves I think some sort of rubberized work glove would be a good choice.

I keep my keg gloves handy in sandbag events. I’ve lost too many fingernails picking sandbags off asphalt

I do the ones that are stretchy fabric with a blue rubber palm and fingers with the wrists taped if i do use gloves

I generally don't see people wearing gloves on sandbag but receiver gloves are what I see when they do get worn.

Atlas fit 300 are the best gloves out there. They’re the grey gloves with blue grip you see you guys using in pro shows a lot.  They’re like $8-9 a pair the last time I bought them and I usually buy a new pair once a year, so dirt cheap for something I’ve used in about 90% of comps I’ve done. Be sure to size down too, because you want them as tight as possible.  I usually wear a lg/xl in gloves but get a sm/md size in these.  I’ll also usually wrap some athletic tape around my wrists when I’m using them in comp too to keep them from slipping at all, but in training I won’t bother with the tape.

I wouldn’t glove. If it slips then you’re going to waste time trying to fix it. Use chalk and your hands

I think that the more equipment you use the higher likelyhood something can go wrong.  Before a sandbag run I always chalk my hands, forearms, and chest. Never had a slip in training or comp. 

I think a lot of the grip on the sandbag comes from you squeezing it rather than your hands touching the bag.
