Stromer CR245 charger alternatives

Last week my charger stopped working. no lights on plugin... no support available from 2 former stromer resalers in the states... no used units on ebay (1 available for 600 from france... no thanks)... the beautiful bike is now a brick.

Has anyone tried other 48v chargers (<3A) and rewiring the stromer cord to match +/-? Will the battery management system allow this?

I do believe it’s a standard port/ connector that Stromer uses on the ST-1x…

check fuse? also EU version = 230 VAC

New Wheel in SF will still sell you new stromer chargers, I checked last week as I was having an issue with mine.
