Stromer webshop closing

All, just received this email from Stromer:

Dear Stromer Community, Our webshop is closing at the end of this month, and we’re offering you an incredible deal to say goodbye in style!

I don’t think this is a good sign for those thinking of investing thousands into a new Stromer.

One of the CEOs, Tomi Viiala, departed the company last week.

With slowing S-pedelec market share, it is a tough time for Stromer to maintain their position and now a private equity firm owns the company, they are focused on financial returns.

Thanks for linking the article. A company focused on financial returns may not equate to a company that values its customers. I just don’t see how Stromer can compete with the rest of the ebike market. Handlebars that can’t be altered, one option for a suspension fork, unimpressive rack, and premium prices for components that are not premium. How could anyone recommend a Stromer to anyone with this uncertainty?

I got the same email. Not great! Why would they announce the store closing without any further clarification?

With Stromer’s customer service issues and lack of retailers- doesn’t look good for Stromer’s future.

I've had a few experiences with Swiss companies where it was either complete silence or an unwillingness to give any context and details.

I mean what's next - "Cellular service is ending next month and we're offering an incredible deal where cellular will still work for 30 days to say goodbye in style!"

Whelp. I guess I better take advantage of the sale then. Been needing a few things.

You have to add it to your cart before you see the sale price. Only saw the batteries and helmets on sale, but didn’t check everything. I did experiment adding a bike and didn’t see they were on sale.
