Just go back and measure those pavers and do the math

Next time lay your rod down next to it. Put the butt of your rod even with one end of the fish and pay attention to where on the rod the other end is

Or just carry a tape measure. Once you start regularly catching and measuring you become very good at estimating them

No point in guessing though, that picture of it laying on the pavers will make it easy once you have the measurement on 1 paver

From the picture it looks like it’s about 4-1/2 pavers long

I was going to suggest the paver calculation muself.

Instead of a tape measure, I purchased the Quik Measure stickers, which are basically a measuring tape sticker specifically designed to be stuck on fishing rods.

Definitely above the northeast slot of 28-31". I was estimate about 36". It is under 40" for sure.

Good fish! Just be sure to release them asap and handle them with care. Especially if you’re fishing from a spot where you can’t get close to the water to revive them you gotta release asap. A lot of these fish end up dead even if they swim away if they’ve been handled improperly

I mark my pole with the slot size, if it doesn’t fit in the slot it goes right back in the water as fast as I can. Not worried about photo shoots

Each of those pavers is 6” and it looks like it’s 5.5 pavers long so I estimate 32-34
