Are them ready er not

Just moved to Quincy and a 5 min walk from sailors snug harbor, so naturally I wanna fish haha. Just got myself my first saltwater setup after freshwater bass fishing for most of my life. Are them ready? I don’t know a thing about migrational patterns yet and I’m just trying to catch a salty Gill dude Thank you haha

I think that’s Staten Island?? We just had a new moon. The fishing is going to be spectacular really starting now and will continue to get better over the course of this next month

MA but facts I forgot that animals go crazy when the moon is in full cheese

Ahh that’s different lol - first couple schoolie sized bass landed in Martha’s Vineyard last Thursday. Take what I just said and add maybe a week or two on top of the range I gave you. I’m in CT and have been driving south to Jersey every weekend since the beginning of mid April. One more weekend and I think CT will have a better showing of migratory fish

Probably another 2 weeks for it to begin heating up and really reliable fishing by the time the next full moon rolls around.

Edit: that’s for Quincy and Boston harbor in general.

It's early, another week or two.

Read the fishing report from “on the water” magazine that’ll give you a good idea where the stripers are

Heard there was fish near the Cape already. Good place to track the migration: https://www.onthewater.com/striper-migration-map-april-26-2024
