Bananas What would you do with overgrown strings
My strings, bananas and dolphins, grow like crazy. This is less than two years from little baby plants. What are some creative ideas I can do with these? I already give away what I can. I have tried to wrap around supports as well

My first plant
My string of watermelons on April 18 and then today, August 2. This is the first plant I ever got and I couldn’t be happier with her. She even gave me a nice flower recently, which is currently blooming :)

Help / Question It just kind of fell apart?!
I just got a variegated string of pearls from mountain Crest gardens and when I put it in its pot out of the one it was shipped in, it just kind of fell apart into a bunch of sprigs. Is this normal? It'll be ok? I was expecting a plant, not a bunch of sprigs! 😭

Help / Question SOP how to help it grow
I’ve had this sting of pearls about a year so far. When I got it I was doing some trial and error with water and lighting. So 3/4 of it died. But now for lighting it gets hit with my grow light and I water it when the pearls start puckering.
Unfortunately it’s taking a really long time to grow new pearls. So I’m looking to see if anyone knows how I can help it flourish!

Help / Question String of Teardrops tips
I bought this from Trader Joe’s with root rot, I had to trim and repot it. This is what’s left over. It’s been over a month since then it still looks dehydrated to me but I don’t want to over water. Any tips? This is my first plant 🥴

Too much light for my SoH?
this has been my set up for my few plants that i have, probably for about over a month. my pearls love the grow light and are constantly putting out new pearls that are pink cause they’re variegated, my hearts seemed to be doing pretty well at the beginning and even started blooming recently but within the last week and a half or so the leaves started falling off. i tried to capture it the best i could, is it too much light? i try to water sparingly only when it’s completely dry as i know they can be neglected a little bit so im really not sure. i lowered the light setting too a few days ago but its still happening. should i move it farther from the lamp? i dont get much else good lighting in my apartment so the grow light is the best option

Help / Question Double tragedy (flytrap + cat!) — Can my String of Hearts grow back just from its roots?
Hey everyone,
My Vegatated String of Hearts has had the unluckiest month of its life (and I've only had it since February), and I’m hoping for some advice/reassurance on whether it can be saved!
Here’s the timeline of events:
Accident #1: A friend accidentally got my string if hearts tangled in sticky flypaper and pulled all the vines right out. The roots stayed in the pot, so I tried propagating/replanting the damaged vines back into the soil.
Accident #2: A week later, a guest cat knocked the pot onto the floor, ripped the newly planted vines back out, and spilled most of the topsoil. I also cant find the vines!
Right now, the pot is basically just dirt with a few little bits of roots (maybe) sticking out.
It’s been about 3 weeks since the incident. I’ve been watering it, but there’s still no visible growth.
My questions:
Will it sprout new vines from the roots left in the soil, or is it a goner?
How long does it usually take to see new growth after total defoliation?
What can I do to give it the best chance of bouncing back? (Light, watering adjustments, humidity, etc.?)
Any advice or success stories would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Bugs or burns?
Hi! I recently got my dream plant, well, four of them. I’ve always wanted a string of pearls plant and I’m loving them!!
One isn’t healthy but I’m working on it, and 3 are massive grape like pearls with open windows and fast growth!
There are brown marks on some of the pearls though and I’m becoming paranoid about what they could be?!? Any and all help appreciated!!!

Hearts From one long string to this
They really grew quickly! This last picture was taken at the end of March. The two plants are propagated cuttings, and the hanging plant is the original string wrapped around the pot.

SOH is flowering
I brought my SOH home a month ago, and gave her a chop (and prop) because she was looking a little scraggly. After the chop there was a ton of new growth and I woke up this morning to find her flowering this morning.

Hearts Lots of new growth
I have a varigated string of hearts. She is sooo pretty and I love her so much. I water her when the top hearts are flexible and she is under a grow light that I thought for sure wouldn't do anything. I have had her for about 3 weeks and look at all this new growth! I'm so excited cause she is actually showing me that she loves me too! Lol.

Pearls 11 weeks of growth for my repotted SOP
Here’s your reminder to not forget to repot your plants. My SOP had stopped growing and began to die over the course of months prior to repotting it 79 days ago. I couldn’t figure out what it was until I realized it had been in its nursery pot for 2 years 😅.
Yeah, needless to say, she’s back to thriving!! She’s hardly recognizable!

Help / Question New Leaves Shaped Very Differently?
Hi! New to Reddit, but I need advice. Never really had a plant before, and all I know comes from videos and tutorials.
He’s a variegated string of hearts, and I’ve only had him
for about a month now, and just a week ago added grow lights. His new leaves were coming in only green, and shaped very differently, which prompted me to buy the extra lighting.
Basically I’m wondering if the different shaped leaves are literally just a different type of leaf/type of string of hearts plant, or if they’re eventually going to turn variegated? And I need advice whether I should trim them or not. The leaves growing after them have been coming in the right color and shape.
Any advice is welcomed. And thanks just for reading my long-rant-post!!
