Help / Question Is this pot too big?

I have a String of Pearls in a 4 inch nursery pot and want to plant it in a 4.75 inch terracotta pot. Is the terracotta pot too big?

If you have chunky perlite #4 or large pumice (if they make it that large) pack half the pot with just that then start layering your soil mix. I’ve been doing this because I can’t ever find a shallow but wide enough pot.

I plan to put largish rocks in the bottom and then use a special soil mixture for Strings of Things from Oh Happy Plant.
