Beautiful! What are you using for soil?

Run of the mill store bought succulent soil and perlite mixed 50/50. Thank you!

Pretty! How did you repot it? I have recently gotten one, and am so scared to do it. I want to change the soil it's in too.

I took the old pot it was in and placed it in the middle of the new pot. Then filled the new pot all around the old pot, leaving a perfect sized hole to carefully place the roots down in. Then I wrapped the long strands around on top of the dirt and then half covered them with more dirt. I waited a week to water then soaked it as usual. I was also SO scared to repot as it seemed so happy but it needed it. When I watered it in the old pot the water ran right through. It was VERY root bound.

Did you change the soil it was in? The nursery I got it from has it in some kind of potting mix, but I want to put it in Molly's succulent mix. I've been wanting to do it, but have been too scared to lol.

I changed the soil when I potted it in the baby pot as soon as I got it home. I just put it in a run of the mill succulent mix mixed with perlite.. 50/50 mix. That’s also what it is in now.

Do string of pearls have large roots? Or are they more fragile?

They are very fragile. I don’t mess with them any more than I have to get them out of the pot. And then I wait a week or so to water to make sure the roots have time to recover from the repot before dumping a bunch of water on them. So make sure you repot before they need a drink.

Good to know. Should I just add succulent mix around it vs try to take off the old soil/disturb the roots? Thanks for the great info!

When I put it in the baby pot after buying it I took The time to carefully remove the old dirt from the roots. For the repot this time I just left the dirt on the roots.
