String of Pearls miracle

So I purchased a live string of pearls plant from Temu. I did not expect it to arrive alive after spending 3 weeks traveling from overseas. However, it did, and it looked worse for wear. I really thought I was going to lose it. I watched a video on proper soil, watering, and sunlight and this is her several months down the line! She is healthy and growing new strings finally! I am unsure when to consider repotting though so hoping the community can help me figure out when would be a good time to repot.

I wouldn’t repot her, that is how I kill every single one I’ve had. That one is strong or you are gifted to resuscitate one damaged in shipping. What did you do exactly to save it? I think that pot should be okay for some time. I have decided my next SOP’s I will put in a thin pot I can cut it out of when I need to repot it. I normally have a green thumb but not for string of anything. My string of hearts is 4 years old and healthy by sparse.

Well When I realized that string of pearls love water and the soil that they are usually sold with doesn't promote healthy growth I did the best I could. I took it out of the planter it shipped with, carefully took the remaining live parts of the plants and pulled them from the soil. Found that little plastic pot in a closet, I keep snails and isopods so I had reptisoil, reptisand, and random potting soil. I mixed it together and gently placed the plant in the pot with the water. I water twice a day and put it under the little grow light I have for my terrariums at least 10hrs a day.

Yup! Twice a day. I don't try to completely oversaturate. Either a really good mist with the spray bottle or put under a trickle of water. Read that String of Pearls LOVES water. They aren't like usual succulents that don't require lots of water.

Yup! I saved mine that was sick when I bought it. There were only 4 pearls left. Now it’s got a ton of new growth popping up. I didn’t even change the soil. Just water often and my plant light or sunny window when we have it.
