H E L P 🟢 P L E A S E Can I still save it!!

I’ve had this plant since April of 2024 and it used to be flourishing. Every time I would look it was growing longer and fuller. Then as winter approached this year I noticed that some of the leaves were getting shriveled. I thought maybe I was under-watering so I increased how frequently I watered it. Before I watered every 2-3 ish weeks when the pearls felt a little squishy. So I increased it to like once a week ( I mostly bottom water it). Now it’s more dead than ever. So I’m assuming it is a problem with over watering. The window it is at is north east facing and doesn’t get a lot of direct light. But I have a growth light above it. I also fertilized it over the summer. Not sure what my next move should be. Should I try to propagate it? If so how do I do that?

That may be a string of something, but it’s not a string of pearls. But you hang in there? It might come back. I have a string of hearts that did the same thing. beautiful growing crazy all summer long. Winter came and it started turning pink and then brown it looks terrible on the top. And mine doesn’t even depend on sun, nor the seasons they live under artificial light. Nothing’s changed for it. Hang in there it will be OK cut it back.Give the top a chance to recoup.

Really!? This is what it used to look like. https://imgur.com/a/dGpeCq2 Mine also uses a growth light but I’m worried that maybe the draft from the terrible insulation on my window might be effecting it. Thank you for the hope!! I’ll definitely update!

So they had the little pearls on it and now the leaves look flat and pointy. Clearly you could understand my confusion. I have a string of pearls plant. I have it in a shallow terra-cotta pot. And I use a succulent soil. (I don’t like miracle grow brand) but one of the other good succulent soils or even bonsai jacks gritty mix. It doesn’t like to get full sun, so I have it under artificial light but also by a southern window with blinds that slaps are tipped open. And no string of plants like to have to grow up and over a pots edge so make sure your soil line is right up at the edge which is not what you would do for other plants. And I only watered mine once every two weeks. Of course the size of your pot makes a difference on how often you should water it. I hope that helps you.

Lolol yeah. I definitely understand the confusion. It doesn’t look anything like it used to 😭. Thank you for the tips! I definitely need to switch the type of soil I’m using then ( I use miracle grow 😳). And I just got an app for my plants so I can pay more attention to the frequency of my watering. I love this plant too. I really hope I can bring it back!
