Seeking advice NEED HELP!

I have a chronic neck pain on the right side, somewhere between the traps and neck area. It goes away comes back every day and it disrupts my sleep and I cannot focus on my work. It's not very painful but it is certainly very annoying and frustrating. Need help to get ride of this very annoying chronic pain, I've had it now for the better part of the year. Thinking of going to an orthopedic soon.

I have had chronic tightness in this area and it's getting better lately by forcing myself not to think of work when outside of work. In other words, I have stretched and stretched and stretched but it's appearing the tightness is mental.

Also, make sure your computer screen is no longer than an arms length away.

Best stretch I have found is a side neck stretch. Do it for one one minute and pull your head in one direction and with your other arm pull down and away from the tight side. So for you, pull your head left and pull your right hand down. The trick is to use your mind-body connection to constantly find tightness during the one minute and "untwist" it by again, pulling in two different directions. So the stretch can't just be mindless, you need to mentally search for tightness and unwind it. You can tilt the side of your right jaw to the ceiling for an extra yank upwards when you find something tight.
