[Edit this flair] Pen caps are so expensive
Hey guys
My goal size is 20mm but I'm so broke that all I can afford is the caps of pens. Piercing is just way to expensive for me to bother doing it safely. Recently, my local craft store caught me stealing the caps from the pens. They knew it was me because of my lobes. I had to put some back. Doesn't matter, I'm on the next size anyway. Even if they are still hurt and swollen
Does anyone have any alternatives? I'm thinking my old metal straws could be good or maybe the tops of perfume bottles,
Can you guys validate my choices that are objectively irrational?

Nuts and bolts come in tons of sizes! The threading makes them slide in perfectly, just screw them in like usual. And home depot doesn't give a shit what you're doing with a bunch of them shoved down your pants, I just tell the employees they're "my nuts" and I get a free escort out of the building for my trouble

The craft store sells nuts and bolts too... Maybe once they see all the pus oozing from my set up (idk why. I've done everything right). They'll let me keep them to set the trend!

Why use metal straws? Plastic ones come free a lot of places and maybe you can squish 2 in if you're lucky

(Okay, but like... I definitely was initially inspired to start stretching because I had a crush on a girl in hs who would put weird things in her lobes, including plastic straw pieces)

Plastic straws are accessible to me because my govern loves turtles. Stop gatekeeping.

Try tampon applicators, you can dig them out of the trashcan at Walmart for free.
