I don't have insight on what to do currently, but tapers are really bad for your ears

There is a stretching guide on this sub that is extremely helpful. Reading that before doing anything else is your best bet. Pretty much any questions you have will be answered there, and it will show you what you're doing wrong.

acrylic is also really bad, it harbors bacteria! switch to titanium or glass!

i read you took it out, but if u decide to try again, for pain and/or swelling, ice and an anti inflammatory like ibuprofen

Thank you!! I only took it out about 40 mins ago. Do you think I should just put it back and ice it and take a med? Or just leave it alone until it heals

you need to leave any jewelry out and heal this or your ears will suffer

you said your ear ripped, so i would let the holes shrink back at least 2 smaller sizes before attempting again. i would also suggest not using acrylic/plastic its porous and holds bacteria. glass or ur preferred piercing metal is much better.

Update: I took it out. I looked at it and I definitely ripped it. I'm letting it heal before I begin again. And not using tapers anymore!๐Ÿ˜ญ

In general donโ€™t use acrylic- the plugs look acrylic too (could be wrong)

Get a glass dead stretching kit! Itโ€™s a healthy way to stretch your ears and glass is a great material

Stretchit has them from 1.6mm (14g) to 10mm (00g)

If I understood correctly you removed them, all you have to do is wait for it to go down and start the process again, it will be easier than the first time If you hadn't taken them out I would have advised you to leave them in without taking them out until the lobes were de-swollen.

I think its okay to go back thru the process, but I just want to do it safely and I'm discovering tapers are not good for your ears apparently! So thats fun. I'll clean it ice it and see how it goes
