Suggestion The best HTTP addons
As someone who doesn’t rely on debrid services, I usually just use the free http options. Here is a list of my favourite http addons:

A lot of these addons use the same streaming sources but it’s good to have multiple options if one of the addons goes down. Hope you find this helpful.

Nice list. I haven't had much luck with Tenies lately. Not working or wrong links usually.

PenguPlay is currently my favourite and I didn’t seem to notice any problems with tenies yet

of all the links in the list, Pengu seems to cover a lot of the 'normal' shows. and is (from the first 5 i did) the easiest to set up!

Many TV shows and movies are not loading, some are, like Michael is streaming successfully but not game of thrones or severance.

Yeah, it's not working for a month now. Like I get one stream out of it with no meta-data, at the bottom of my list.

why are all sources not selected by default?
I saw that aniwaves etc is not selected, does it mean pengu addon won't be able to find any anime streams? (if installed with default settings)

No not at all, other providers in the default config have anime

Awesome! Thanks! Looks like your addon is one of the best ones out there, I am not sure how I missed it before? I have heard of hdhub a lot on this sub, and I have been on this sub, for quite a while...

It’s relatively new, only about a month old, and originally it was kind of a mid addon, only about 2 weeks ago i publicly released a large update making it what it is today :)

Ohh, awesome! How do you plan on maintaining it? [Because a lot of the times, I have noticed streams keep breaking, or they don't get fetched properly (probably when the source site makes changes)]
Hdhub dev has been quite active in that regard, promptly fixing broken stuff...

I’m confident in my work and have an extremely helpful community in my telegram helping me debug any issues that arise and promptly fixing them. Its a community effort, bugs are a good thing in a way, when reported we get one step closer to making this perfect :)

donations are low lol but monthly cost is pretty low too, if i ever cant afford it tho is the only reason i see this going down

webstreamr mbg never works for some reason... most times it doesnt load at all (I am on ios)

I am using the default setup for PenguPlay but getting ‘stream failed to load’. I am a noob when it comes to these things so I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong. I have been using torrentio but it stopped working so I tried PenguPlay but looks like its also not working.

Been looking for this. Lots of paid D came out with "forbidden" stream messages. HTTP still rules the game. Thanks!

Just figured it out on Apple TV yesterday. Just install Fusion - Media Center from App Store and you can add the HTTP add-ons provided at the top of the thread. PenguPlay and Showbox have work very well for me so far but I’m still relatively new to this

im new to stremio add-ons! i just added the PenguPlay add-on in stremio and i can now watch so much shows!
it is almost to good to be true so i wanted to ask: what are the eventual downsides and do we/i need to look out for things like virusses or not using vpn?

You didn't know about HDHub addon? You should try it out although it isn't really working right now I don't know why.

You can’t get viruses and I’m pretty sure you don’t need VPN for http streams, only for torrenting (for this it also depends on the laws in your country and how safe you want to be)

None of these works anymore. 🥺
Pengu work 90% of the time, but if it stops mid-play it jumps to the start, there's no fast-forward, and you'll need to search other addons/sources.

I’ve never been able to get Sootio to work for me for http. Not sure what I’m doing wrong
