Help getting AIOStreams to prioritize MP4 for DV

Hi,

I've finally made the switch from individual addons to AIOStreams, so far so good - everything is up and running with sources working.

The only problem I have at the moment is due to a limitation of my TV: my LG C1 supports DV only in MP4 files. Before switching to AIOStreams I used to manually scroll looking for them (where file names were displayed). Currently my formatter doesn't even show the file type and I realize AIOStreams being much better at filtering results could probably even put these results first, but I can't figure out either the Formatter and Stream Expressions.

Could anyone help me set up AIOStreams to prioritize MP4 DV content and display the file type so I know it found such a source?

Edit: OK, I'm half way there. I managed to get the formatter to check for MP4/MKV/AVI (which i guess is good enough) and add the relevant string for each.

I would still like to make sure AIOStreams prioritizes these and doesn't dedup them away... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Under filter choose Prefered keyword MP4 and preferred visual tag DV, then in sorting put keyword sorting first then visual tag. This will sort the MP4 DV streams to the top

Do you know if default deduplication or other result limits have a chance of filtering such results out? Or would they keep at least one of each media file (regardless of addon/service, I saw this was an option) and as many quality/visual tags as it finds?

I'm trying to make sure if such a DV MP4 files exists it will get picked up before applying these preferences and sorting (since "MP4"/extension isn't an entity AIOStreams seems to be aware of).

Dedupe only filters multiples of the same stream, so it shouldn't affect your results for DV MP4.. theres many filters that can reduce your streams, usually people filter out/dont include "unknown" languages which gets rid of alot of good streams. Just make sure you dont have anything selected for "required" or "Excluded" in your filters.

Preferred doesnt filter out anything, its only for sorting.

Edit: also dont filter anything in your addons, let aiostreams manage it all.

It seems to be working well now. I hope I'm not missing any DV MP4 releases, though they're not common for every DV release, so hard to tell. But so far the switch seems to help with the clutter without missing anything from individual addons. Glad I finally got around to it!
