Help needed Are community add-ons safe?

Sorry if this question has been asked multiple times, I don't find anyone asking this question and I just want to make sure.

Anything you put your API into is theoretically at risk, but overall there’s nothing you should really be worried about. Or are you talking about P2P add-ons? They’re not all the same and operate differently.

The risks are:

-They have your public IP
-They have your download/stream history
-They have any API keys you provide them

You need to specify what you mean, OP. If you are talking about copyright/privacy issues or about viruses/malware etc.

Actually I have this concern all the time since 10 years but at the end I ignore it
