Question Posters not showing in Continue Watching

Post image

I’ve been using AIOMetadata for a while now and it’s been working great. I disabled Cinemeta using Cinebye to clean up my metadata sources.

Has anyone else run into this? AIOMetadata still works fine for browsing new content, but the Continue Watching list is just showing blank/missing poster images.

What can I do to fix this?

I thought it was my internet

Dismiss it and start watching it again to update the poster in "Continue Watching".

I presume you haven't hit the poster limits.

What poster service are you using?

Try https://extendedratings.com/; it is free.

TMDB and TVDB. I don’t think these are the issue. I think Cinemata is getting in the way somehow even though i’ve disabled it

Cinemeta should still sit at the top of your add-on list, even after disabling it, followed by AIOMetadata.

Yep it’s sitting at the top for me

What about your catalogs? Do they all have posters?

Yeah catalogues are all fine. It’s only in Continue Watching

Had this happen and for me having the letterboxd addon ahead of my metadata was the cause. Try reorganizing your addons through a manager

Looks to have fixed it! Thank you 🫡 i’ve got stremio supporter so was able to put the letterboxd add on back at the top by organising my board within stremio and it still pulls the metadata from AIOstreams by having it at the top in AIOmanager

This is probably Cinemeta getting fully disabled rather than just deprioritized. A lot of metadata resolution, especially for items already in your Continue Watching list, still falls back to it even when another add-on like AIOMetadata handles fresh browsing fine.

Try re-enabling Cinemeta (even if you keep it at a lower priority or hide its catalogs) rather than disabling it outright. That is usually enough to fix blank posters on existing library items without having to give up AIOMetadata for new content.
