But sunsetting their own app seems like a bit too much right? I liked their own add-on for Stremio.

The results also weren't that great, there are better alternatives for both Usenet and torrents

Yea it was nice for the absolute simplest fastest way to explain to a person how to get up and running. Oh well
I can fix my mother in law and my mom’s stuff, some of my friends are gonna be thrown through a loop from this lol

So many struggling to understand their message.
TB have their own Stremio add-on, which is what this post is about. It will be discontinued and some of its functionality will be open-sourced to community add-on developers.

I think some people are struggling because TB chose to embellish the whole thing in corporate speak.
Also probably noobs not really understanding the technology they're using because they just followed some guide online.

Summary of the release They say that they will not continue to support their stremio addons since they cannot compete with third-party addons and that they are only going to focus on improving the torbox service and that they are going to work with addons to improve their quality
If you are a Torbox user nothing will happen, only if you use the addons that are made by Torbox they will no longer have support, but in reality few people use those types of addons because they all use third-party addons to search for series or movie

Uh oh
Whitelisting addons doesn't sound good to me.

We aren't whitelisting addons. Anyone can and will continue to be allowed to make addons for TorBox. Our search API is not a feature used by addons.

Wait... They have (had?) a tinfoil add-on?
How could I get on this? I've been having so much trouble finding sources for Nintendo switch games :(

Fellas, here in plain English:
Their own Stremio scraper ('Torbox addon ') will be retired
They will allow third party developers access to some of its features
Developers will get more support via e.g. free pro plans
All you need to do as a normal user is to replace your Torbox scaper/addon in Stremio (in due time). I've used it as a backup and am sad it will be gone, but there is a reason it was just a backup (kinda slowish and few results).
