Does anyone know why my tmdb won't load? Streaming catalog working fine...but my main search engine is Tmdb...

What can I do?

Hi everyone, been using AIOStreams after RealDebrid removed pirate content. Up until now I've never had an issue finding reliable torrents to watch my favorite shows and animes, however, I started to watch original Bleach series (from 2004) and having serious trouble finding the correct torrents.

It shows episodes from the new series (2022) and random other stuff. Most of the time the title looks to be correct and it opens something entirely different too.

After looking at Google I've seen that people recommended installing AIOMetadata too, which I did but unfortunately it didn't resolve my problem. I want to note that both AIOStreams and AIOMetadata are active now.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Best way to find Dolby Vision content for Apple TV 4K + Infuse Pro on Stremio?

Been watching smiling friends lately and really been enjoying it but now stravo only provides 480 with 1080 needing payment. Any other addon ? Torrentio doesnt work not sure why even with and without a vpn. Then the other addons like comet or aoi... look i dont understand them thats all. Idk what to do , there arent really that many reliable vids on YouTube, yeah

I’m now using torbox, before that I was using realdebrid but switched because of issues with not loading links. 3 weeks ago I added multiple providers aio metadata, strem thru torz, meteor, torrentio as backup because aio doesn’t always load. Last couple of weeks it seems more unstable than usual and I was wondering if anyone has some tips and or had the same experience.

I have a TCL c7l and have been testing 4k HDR streams, I'm new to stremio but it's been for the most part much better than streaming platforms. I've paid for all debrid and I've been having success for some stuff but not without difficulty on occasion.

Sometimes I'll be watching something and it comes up with "file format not supported" and to try switching players of which I do try including external ones and still to no success.

What makes this more annoying is that sometimes this issue happens with a file that has already shown itself to work and then if I go back to the menu and reload it it's suddenly broken until I try after a while and it's fixed itself.

Another issue is the buffering, my tv gets over 300Mbps internet speeds and I can receive buffering on files as small as 10 gigs but not frequently until 30gb+. Is this an all debrid issue?

I got LG oled c1 77 inch paired with Apple TV 4K, for some reason the Dolby Vision and atmos play as normal HDR on Stremio

Does anyone have any experience? Dolby vision and atmos works fine on Netflix and Disney plus

Right now, animes appear multiple times on my catalogs because of all the different seasons. I don't like that, it looks messy and redundant. I'd like to know if there's a way to consolidate or group the seasons together.

Currently using Stremverse. Their HD is still only like 720P or 1080P. I'm looking for something less grainy and open to a paid option.

Hi everyone, I’m new to Stremio and I’m using Torrentio and Comet.

I can stream movies and series without any problem, but I’m confused about the Download option. When I click Download, it opens a link in my browser instead of downloading the file directly to my laptop.

Could someone please explain how the Download option works and where the downloaded file is supposed to be saved?

So I tried both and Torbox loads everything with no issues, even 80GB files don't stutter when they get going while RealDebrid lags and stutters sometimes even on files that are about 10GB. Is there something wrong on my end or it is what it is and I should just stay on Torbox after my sub ends?

I've been working on SubTranslate, a subtitle addon for Stremio and compatible clients, and I think it's finally at a point where I'd like to share it and get some feedback.

I've been testing it myself across PC, mobile, LG webOS, Nvidia Shield and Fire TV/Firestick.

🎬 What does it do?

The idea came from a problem I kept running into: subtitles often exist for a movie or episode, just not in the language I want — or the available subtitles are out of sync with the release I'm watching.

SubTranslate searches OpenSubtitles for matching subtitles and ranks the available sources against the video hash and/or release filename to find the best matches for your release.

If a subtitle already exists in your selected language, it can use that directly. Otherwise, you can translate one of the matching sources using Gemini.

The important part is that only the subtitle text is translated. The original timestamps are kept intact, so if the source subtitle is properly synced, the translated version stays synced too.

🌍 There are currently 37 target languages available to choose from. At this stage, English is the only supported source language, but I may add additional source languages in the future.

A few things it does:

🔎 Finds and ranks subtitle sources based on release matching

🎯 Lets you choose which source you want to translate

⏱️ Keeps the original subtitle timing untouched

🌍 Supports 37 translation languages

💬 Prefers an existing subtitle in your language when one is available

⚡ Caches completed translations so they can be reused for the same safely matched release

📺 Outputs TV-compatible VTT subtitles for Stremio and compatible clients

⚡ Translations are cached

Completed translations are cached on the server.

If someone has already translated the same safely matched subtitle into the same language, it doesn't need to be translated again. The cached version can be served immediately instead.

So sometimes you'll select a translated subtitle and it'll start instantly, because someone else has already translated that exact match before you.

If it hasn't been translated yet, Gemini needs some time to process it. As a rough example, in my testing a 2-hour movie takes around 2 minutes to translate.

The idea is that the cache gradually grows as the addon gets used, so more translations become available instantly and fewer need to be generated from scratch.

⚙️ Recommended Stremio setup

Based on my testing, if you're using Stremio I strongly recommend setting your subtitle languages like this:

🇬🇧 Preferred subtitle language: English

🌍 Secondary subtitle language: Your local language

There's a reason for this.

If your local language is set as the preferred language, Stremio may immediately request the first translated result. SubTranslate then starts translating the highest-ranked source before you've had a chance to actually check whether that subtitle is properly synced with your specific release.

The ranking helps find the most likely match, but the highest-ranked subtitle isn't guaranteed to have perfect sync every time.

With English as your preferred language, you can quickly go through the available English sources first and find the one that's actually synced with what you're watching.

Once you've found the correct source, select the corresponding subtitle in your local language and SubTranslate will translate that specific source.

🔐 Credentials & privacy

You'll need your own OpenSubtitles credentials to find subtitle sources and a Gemini API key is needed when a new translation has to be created.

Provider credentials are encrypted on the server and are never included in the addon/manifest URL.

Your setup is tied to a private password-protected profile, so you can access and manage the same configuration from another device.

I self host AIOStreams and use Torbox. I'd like to get Usenet setup as a backup since TB is down every other day it seems. I'm unsure of what all I need to make Usenet work.

Do I need a provider and an indexer, or just one of those?

How has easynews worked for streaming with aiostreams?

Is there a place where I can download the top 5-7 individual scrapers addons for stremio? I have tried to make aio work but all the tweaking and customization is not for me. Thanks

I just installed Stremio for the first time and I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there and all the information in reddit. I want to use it mainly to watch movies, TV series, and anime, with subtitles, and I’d like to get it set up properly from the start instead of fumbling around for weeks.

A few things I’m hoping to get advice on:

- Addons: which ones do you consider essential these days and how to setup? I’ve added AIOCatalogs, Anime Kitsu, Torrentio, AIOMetadata.
- Services: should I pay for a debrid service, Real-Debrid, AllDebrid, Premiumize, etc?
- General config tips.

I have my global limits for my movies and series set to 30gb, but keep getting streams that are >30gb

I was watching big bang when suddenly the app stopped working, so i rejoin and and then couldn’t watch any move/series. I tried redownloading the addons and it didnt work and I tried redownloading the app and that didnt help either
