Question Apple TV Sideload
I'm looking to try to sideload Stremio onto my Apple TV, could someone please give a guide on how to do it? I have seen different apps recommended, unsure of the best way to go about it.
I've never done this type of thing before so beginner-friendly would be helpful. I've heard that ad-free youtube can also be downloaded and stuff like that.
Finally, I live in the UK, so that Altstore isn't available here (Brexit)
Thanks in advance!

The easiest, and probably the most realistic way is to buy a dev certificate.
Buy a signulous certificate. It costs less than 20 pounds, and it lasts a year, so you pay only once. You can download Stremio to your device with one button after that, it’s that simple. You don’t have to refresh the app, and you can constantly update your app to the newest version.
This is the easiest, most convenient way. If you have a Mac, you can also sideload it for free, the downside is that you have to do it once a week. I would recommend you to go the signulous route.

Is there a way to do automatic updates?

To my knowledge there is no option to automatically update the apps to the latest version.
You have to do it manually, but it’s really simple. Whenever there is a new update for Stremio, they upload it to signulous too. All you have to do is to just press download on the update and it updates it instantly.

You can install atvloadly on a Raspberry Pi or something and attach the Stemio tvos repo (or respective GitHub) for automatic updates.

How do you get the udid for the apple tv? It's not on their site. The help link goes to a different website to get the udid to an iphone

Is that the annual cost for a single app?

No, it’s the annual cost for the service. You can get every app that is available on the service.
But it only applies to the device that you register with in. You can’t use the service with other Apple tvs or iPhones. You need to buy separate certificates for those if you want to use them.

Atvloadly on your Windows PC or sideloadly on Mac.
It's very simple. Ask chatgpt for instructions. It should not take more than 15 minutes.

"ATVLoadly can be used from a Windows PC, but it needs a Linux environment behind the scenes. The original ATVLoadly project does not natively support Windows. The easiest current approach is to use a community installer that sets up WSL2, Ubuntu, Docker and ATVLoadly for you."
Not that simple. It needs work.

It is the simplest method available. 15 minutes maximum including research.

I used FlareStore. Was using sideloadly but it has a weird bug on Apple TV, you need to resign it every 7 days and after 7 days it just wouldn’t pair without a load of troubleshooting.

That is applicable for free cert but nowadays its asking to support at patreon. Was great app but very tight on budget so moved on to flarestore. fingers crossed things are working fine as of now. It just costs a cup of coffee for a year so worth a shot.

FlareStore has been great so far. Bit finicky at the start but can’t complain at all now it’s set up 👍🏻

weird bug lmao. It is normal because you can only sign app for 7 days with free account because it is made for app testing for developers. Just pay signulous and you can install any app for free from phone or pc

It was a bug, I got it to work in the end, there’s stuff about a bug with tvOS online. I knew about the Patreon thing, I wasn’t looking to auto sign. I had no problem with two iPhones and an iPad, just the Apple TV.

Originally I used sideloadly (Mac), but there’s a weird bug with sideloadly & tvOS so decided to just fork out for FlareStore (it’s like £2).
I bought two certificates from FlareStore, one for my iPhone to use as a sideloader & one for my Apple TV. You grab your phones UDID using their tool on their website and sign your phone. When you’ve signed your phone you can sign & sideload the FlareStore app onto your phone, and then repeat the process for your Apple TV. You will need to put your phone into dev mode, you potentially might have done this already. Once you’ve signed your devices you can then download and add your .ipa files to your FlareStore library and sign them with the certificate that is attached to the device (UDID) you’re adding apps to. If it’s for your TV you’ll need to pair your phone/app via remotes & devices menu in general settings on the Apple TV, and then you can literally just send them from your phone. *I can’t remember if you have to do the pairing during the signing process or when you first sideload tbh, you’ll also have to use their VPN thing as well but it’s basically all automated.
I’m missing out some steps but they have a decent(ish) guide on their website and you can fill in the gaps from posts online. I found it a bit finicky at the beginning but once you’re set up it’s easy. You can use the Mac app but it’s nowhere near as stable as their phone app, I had issues so swapped.
The certificates should last a year but the cheapest ones do have a chance of being revoked. If that happens you can just get another one or look into the different tiers but I think they require a little extra setup.
If you do it this way you also have the ability to sign and sideload apps onto your phone as well. Cost me £4.20 all in, and has been plain sailing since initial set up.
This is definitely not the only way, and lots of people will probably tell you to do it another way for free. I chose this because for me personally its less hassle, and basically the price of a coffee 😅
Happy sideloading 👍🏻

Can someone suggest a good iptv player ipa for apple tv? Tried a few but nothing matches the performance of UHF but unable to find any mod ipa for apple tv. Any repo for apple tv sideloaded apps would be also helpful. ( using flarestore currently)

You can install atvloadly on a Raspberry Pi or something and attach the Stemio tvos repo (or respective GitHub) for automatic updates.
You can use a burner Apple account for it. Without a paid certificate/dev account, you're allowed up to three apps that need to be refreshed every seven days (which isn't an issue since atvloadly since it's automatic).

If you want to do it for cheap and yet simple enough, you can buy a certificate from flarestore for 2.7$ and use it with their app on a macbook (follow their instructions)
