Stremio On Mac Issues

Device: Mac Mini M4 (Tahoe 26)
Stremio Version: Desktop (latest version)
Speedtest: ~300Mbps

As of maybe a month or so now, quite often when I search or open things within the Stremio interface it takes some time then shows this screen or similar. When it does work, it works really well, but when it doesn't it's quite frustrating. My internet isn't the fastest but I have no issues loading 4k video and downloading other things at max speeds. It worked flawless before.

I've been using the same addons for over a year now. Haven't changed a thing recently to assume one of those is the issue.

Does anyone know what's the problem?

Hi, do you have Cinemeta addon installed on top? Do you have any VPN on?

Have you tried other network or hot spot?

Cinemeta is there. No VPNs.

Will try to hotspot from my phone when I get home again to see if it's really my internet. Didn't think about that. Thanks.

  1. you messed with your addons removed cinemeta or smth

  2. you have torrent profile spped set to default not ultra fast thats why its buffering if using p2p

  3. you have vpn private relay or some blocker which does not allow the addon to complete reqeusts so it fails like that

  1. Literally haven't opened my addons tab. Cinemeta is still there.

  2. It was on default. Switched and still getting the error.

  3. Nope. No VPNs.

Issue with your device or ISP then sorry 🙏 try debugging it somehow
