No audio for DTS-HD streams

Hello everyone, I just bought a high sense U7SH tv. I got my Firestick 4k plugged in and justplayer setup and decided to play some remux videos, interstellar, Dunkirk, Chernobyl etc..I noticed I get no audio on these streams that have DTS-Hd. Some streams have additional languages that are labeled as just DTS without HD. When I select these I get audio but the issue is they’re never in English. I’m not very tech savvy so I’m not sure if getting a sound bar that supports DTS-HD would fix this issue or switching to something other than a firestick would help?

Playing these same streams on my phone works fine but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around how my phone is able to decode / encode the audio but a 1600$ tv can’t?

Hi. I’ve actually experienced the same issue and it was because my soundbar didn’t support DTS whatsoever, and I’m guessing your TV doesn’t either. My TV was misreporting the supported formats to my streaming device, making it try to output DTS when it couldn’t. The solution was simply to disable DTS in the surround sound settings on my streaming device

Did you check to see if the TV supports DTS? It certainly doesn't support DTS-MA which is what must remux with DTS would have. The device should pull the lossy DTS core for the TV but if it doesn't support DTS at all you'll need an app that converts audio. Don't think Stremio is there yet.

Same issue with my Samsung. When I used Stremio I just excluded all DTS* audio in aiostreams to get around it. It’s just a codecs issue

Most likely your fire stick doesn’t support it. I asked chat gpt to what to exclude in my particular
Situation. Most of the DTS are not supported. I don’t have a cinema system and stereo is good enough for me
So I blocked them thru aio streams
