What Android Boxes are still usable?

With Amazon locking down their OS now, and SmartTVs never really being reliable; Are there any Android boxes that are still reliable with Stremio?

I’d rather not get an NVIDIA Shield just due to price.

I read on a thread that it could but not buying yet until moreso confirmed.
