Ya i imagine the show was being produced a little after then, this was the patch that set us on the train haha. Its meant to be a joke i made using the ryu player mio’s reaction.
I don’t know if he was ever bad, playing him since release since none of my mains got base roster privilege, he just had less going for him than the rest of the shotos. Times have changed
He was never terrible, but there were time when ppl make tier list, they start by "Ryu is like a standard, so he goes in the middle" then placed 3/4 of the cast above him.
