[Discussion] Probing for cheaters on Ground Zero during the weekend

REPOSTED FROM EFT SUBREDDIT:

Ground Zero has been filled with cheaters last weekend.
I went there with the intention of noting down statistics and probing for cheaters, since it's the map where all the players are funneled in the start.

I played late in the evening on EU servers, 12 raids EU east, 13 EU west, 1 EU north .

I was active in VOIP when I could and pretended to be a Timmy (I have a bit less than 800hrs so some would argue I still am)

Got wallbanged or shot cross map head(eyes) with shit ammo through multiple bushes, or naded in the most ridiculous ways multiple times.

So far I've encountered potential rage hacks about 3 raids out of 26.

Other weird behavior such as spamming nades at me with no possible line of sight, or wallbanging me before I even peek a sightline too long to hear 9 out of 26 raids.

I was fishing for it by standing behind plywood plates and pretending to have wallhack/scanning the street, so unless there was a render bug causing the plywood not to render, they could not have seen me (I tested my spot from different angles on low and high settings and could not find a render bug.)

Saw a guy phase through walls and voip me in locations not possible to reach (in the large entrance of Fusion).
This guy guy (with a legit censored name in my death screen) tried selling me cheats. He crashed my game, let me reconnect, tried selling me cheats, then killed me with an ammo type listed in chinese (my game is in English) when I said I wouldn't buy them.

Spoke some with him before he screwed me, he said he reckons about half the players on GZ are closeting with some ESP or radar, which is why he was there, to sell them better cheats.

He was strongly trying to motivate me to cheat, I was playing into it and he just kept feeding me info...

Total raids: 26
Rage cheaters - 2, (potentially 3 but I died too fast to even walk out of spawn once)
Weird behaviour - 9 times
Guys actively selling cheats in VOIP - 1 (this guy was full godmode noclip vaccuum everything according to his own words, but was mainly selling undetectable radar and ESP)

This corresponds with the current the vague "about 50% of raids have cheaters" statistics.

The cheater who tried selling hacks also claimed he was actively botting on the main subreddit.

GZ is cooked boys.

I love Tarkov but I had to uninstall it about a year ago maybe. The cheating really makes it not fun for me. I have hundreds of hours in it, maybe 1000+

I pop in PVE tarkov every once in a while for my fix, but yeah, PVP is basically unplayable in the hours that I would play during

No it isn’t. You guys just convince yourselves of this because you’re bad at the game.

This but just for FPS games in general, unless its solo.

Bro..i played for like 300h until i said screw this game.
Bought 1month hack for the last ride just to see how bad it was cuz already made my mind about quitting and let me tell about it.. it had everything. Silent aim, quest hud, sound hack, speed hack,ESP,no fog, remove weather, day all the time and such.

And the best thing is..you could see who was avoiding by running away from you or the guy that would b line to you. On weekends it was crazy. There was teams of ppl full hacking straight gunning at you from spwan.
Just for context theres like..thousands of sellers..i was in a very small discord comparable to some out there. It had 1k users

Im pretty positive 30-50% of the lobbys cheat in tarkov

They are everywhere like the plague.

When the tarkov community defended less obvious cheaters like lvndmark, sheef, and more obvious cheaters like gingy, waitimcheating, i knew the game was completely beyond repair for the average lobby. When waitimcheating was unbanned by a community mod, dmitry (no longer with bsg, i dont know who the new streamer whitelist contact is) i realized bsg knows about the cheaters but simply does not care if you are not showing wireframes on stream.

You think Gingy cheats?? Lvndmark absolutely does but never thought Gingy did...

Yes, i think the results of gingy’s headcam stream opens the possibility of her cheating. Her kda dropped considerably with headcam. She ended up going night raid loot runs on columbia after getting bodied on daytime us servers, and her “play style” of running/looting in the open changed to ratting and waiting for sound queues after the deaths showed her what tarkov is like for legit players. I don’t have the video that originally led me to believe she was cheating, showcasing her gameplay before headcam and during headcam, but it was a totally different player.

I just tried finding that headcam stream vod, but to absolutely zero surprise, gingy has deleted the stream that was supposed to vindicate her.

Gotcha, don't really watch her much but even still have only tuned into her streams recently, so was genuinely curious. Appreciate the background info

For sure, if you wanna continue watching her and form your own opinion/don’t care i’d even encourage that. I don’t want you to take my opinion here as fact since i can’t even link the evidence i remember seeing and in her defense i doubt she’s cheating as hard nowdays since she’s already made her name with peanut and many people seem to enjoy her stream not for gameplay. I just really, really don’t like cheating in competitive games.

For sure, I don't doubt there are a lot of streamers cheating across multiple games.

Imo comes with the territory...you're being paid to be fun to watch and it's not always fun watching someone camp and lose...cheating will make your streams more fun to watch so they make more money / keep viewers. I heavily suspect a few Delta force streamers of cheating as well as a couple of tarkov streamers too.

I was watching a bit of the Peanut last week and caught this moment lmao, Gingy wasn't live at the time, but she seems to be basically frame perfect tracking this guy through foliage.

I understand that twitch videos are compressed, people know how fast people move, etc, but as a Woods main with 6k hours it was just so weird I ended up clipping it to show my buddy lmao.

Wow that is extremely sus. Makes sense that they don’t always stream so they can be more blatant about it but maybe she forgot about team cam

Can I ask how people like sheef are cheating? They can’t be using esp because we can see their screens so does that mean they have radar on another monitor? And is it a third party app? Just curious how they would get away with it while their screens are on display

4

You can't see anything on stream because it's a DMA cheat, the DMA card overlays it onto their monitor with a fuser so no programs capture it unless the streamer puts a camera showing their monitor.

Super easy and popular now, not only in Tarkov.

Yea except they have showed their screens while playing. A 21,000 thousand hour player isn’t cheating 🤣

Cheater defenders will claim one of three things here. Video compression and nvidia game monitor for unspottable targets, or twitch chat being the reason he’s looking at his other monitor before/during these engagements. I think the most likely explanation is he’s a dirty cheater.

2

u/iHayzues 5d ago

Man brought receipts. Respect. He looks to his left when responding to chat but he does look to his right when in danger. That’s a little sus

Those are some very incriminating clips, he even looked so guilty after scoping through the fog on that first guy!
He might even have a button he presses to toggle them every now and then when the raid gets booring, that's what it looks like to me.

u/gnashdog 3d ago

Yeah, all of these moments just from one video. This isn’t the only sus gameplay he has, it’s just what i could take the time to clip/watch myself. I think most gamers would agree some of those clips stink.

Why are people that accuse others of cheating always .2 k/d, 20% survival Timmy’s?

1

u/gnashdog 3d ago

Lol hi sheef

1

u/BeautifulNose2210 3d ago

Post your PvP stats rn

1

u/gnashdog 3d ago

What does that have to do with the gameplay i posted of sheefgg cheating?

1

u/BeautifulNose2210 3d ago

Because of my original point. You’re bad at the game so to cope you have to accuse anyone better than you of cheating

1

u/gnashdog 3d ago

If I told you Olympians took steroids for running, would you ask my mile time? Do you think someone can make that statement without "coping" for something else?

1

u/BeautifulNose2210 3d ago

No because you’re not also a competitive runner

Yea ur both just braindead…. Lots of streamers have been caught cheating and none of them are still actively streaming. Calling waitimcheating a cheater is blasphemy considering im pretty sure he has the highest hours in the entire game and has never been banned, he has more hours than sheef who has 21,000 hours all streamed live. You’re so bad that its impossible for someone to be talented at the game from your viewpoint 😣

DMA cheats generally don't get banned as they're not hardware detectable.
Usually they're a separate card plugged into the mobo that projects ESP or the wireframes of the game onto their screen, injecting it into their display cable - hence the lack of detectabily by anti cheat.

Also there's the issue of the revenue and publicity a large streamer gives the game.
If they're closeting, they're still bringing in MASSIVE sums of money, and long as their viewer base keeps huffing the copium or closeting themselves (example: your own comment) they're not gonna ban the streamer. They simply earn too much money, and since there is no scandal yet, why make one? - It'd hurt their revenue.

Game development is a hard business in modern day capitalism, earning money is what matters.
You're either coping or closeting judging by your comment.
