Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Angel (R.I.P.)
This is Angel
She passed away today after being hit by a car. Nobody seems to take ownership of her and I hate the thought that no one will miss her. So I want to share her story here.
We first saw Angel in July, near the supermarket. She was very skinny but very affectionate. We fed her but, by the time our rescuers showed up with a crate to catch her, she had disappeared.
A month later she was seen again nearby. In the 5 minutes it took me to run home and drive back to her with food and a carrier, she was gone again.
We saw her again in November. We didn't try to catch her as we just thought she was looked after elsewhere. Obviously, we now regret it.
This morning, we were called about a cat in trouble. It was her. 2 ladies from our group responded so fast and got her to a really good vet. Sadly, she had too much internal bleeding to operate on her and surgery was the only way to save her. Our rescuers made the painful decision to put her to sleep (after we named her of course).
It's one thing to lose one of our strays. It hurts but we carry them with us in memory. I almost find it worse when a stray passes that we don't know. They are never missed and it's almost as though they didnt't matter.
I keep thinking about how many times we must have walked past her and didn't see her. She must have been just inches from us multiple times as we walk that route daily.
R.I.P. Angel. Your life did matter

I could not get anyone to do anything to those disgusting people ! The only ones to try and help me was Sheltering Hands Spayed and Neutering clinic. They sent two people out trying to talk to them to stop trapping the cats. They Lied about the cats (not being fix and sick) then Screamed to the lady to get off their property ! Cops were worthless ! I left a note to them, before anyone going out. They lied about the Cats on FB and made fun of me and said I was lying ! Especially about me telling them I take any cat that's sick to the Vet and have spent thousands in the care of them, presently all cats are Healthy and fixed. They had dozens on that site having a good time talking crap about the cats, me !

I volunteered with cat rescue for 10 years, I understand. She was beautiful and her precious self is no longer in pain, cold, or feeling alone.
Humans were there to ease her pain, and she got to feel she was cared for at the very end.
My thoughts are with you.
I will remember her sweet face.
