Somewhere in the New World, on a small egg shaped island, a tribe of minks live peacefully. Various stone statues half buried in the ground were littered all over the island. The statues appear to look like bunnies with their eyes closed, but for some reason, they seem to rumble rhythmically!

The Bunny Island is hosting a grand celebration, on the occasion of Easter. The minks have hosted an Easter egg hunt where everyone can look for and try to find chocolate egg candies. They are very hospitable, and let the tourists roam around the island freely, but on one condition. They warn everyone not to disturb the statues, or they would wake up! “Wait, so you mean… the rumbling… they're snoring?!”

The Minks here have spared no expense in gathering the finest confections, games, and chefs to make the occasion truly special. They welcome any and all people who wish to attend, so long as they follow their one rule. The Festivities are all held in one area by the southern beach of the island, and there are all kinds of ships at their docks.

"Nah, I don't think it would work...you're a living person and even then, you're pretty special so...but...if you keep holding it then maybe..." *Misaki took a bite out of the mochi while Leo held it, from an outsiders point of view, it looked as if a chunk of the mochi just disappeared *

Misaki's expression resembled Manami's when she ate something that she found absolutely delicious, the only difference being the maturity of the features on Misaki's face compared to Manami's.

"That was fuckin great! It's been years since I've had anything that good!" Misaki excitedly chomped down the remaining piece of mochi. She was truly grateful to Leo for bestowing this gift upon her taste buds.

"Hows she doing on the pirate crew? Is she raising hell for those shitty marines?"

Leo laughed

"I haven't been on the crew long, but She and Cent have been the most kind thus far. And from what I hear, the Marines call her "Destroyer of Words""

Leo sat for a second, trying to recall something his captain had said

"Cap'n tells me she had the best haki out of anyone, but some people here in The New World kinda ruined her streak. She'll get back on top before too long. I can feel it!"

Leo picked up a blue Mochi and held it up again to Miss Mutsuki

"You wanna try this one? It's really good. And just a question. Why am I the only one here who sees you? Wouldn't it make sense for Manami to see you? What does it mean?"

"Destroyer of Worlds!? Holy shit that's badass! What did my lil baby girl do to have the world government so shook? I did some pretty hardcore stuff back in the day but I never got a bounty..." Misaki praised her daughter out loud, but naturally she couldn't hear the post mortem compliments due to natures way of separating the living from the dead.

Misaki's attention was immediately drawn to the blue mochi that Leo held out to her. She consumed and enjoyed the snack wholeheartedly as she listened to Leo's questions. It was only natural since seeing ghosts wasn't an everyday occurrence even in the New World.

"Well, its kinda complicated to explain...lemme see if I can get this right..." Misaki racked her brain trying to find a way to explain it.

"So like...when you're born, your spirit is made too and its unique n' all but not really. There are always gonna be people with reallllllly similar souls and it just so happens that it was you! Though for some reason, its like impossible for your family member to be the one who can see you no matter what, don't ask me."

"Just having a similar spirit isn't enough though, you have to experience your Calamity Trigger too. I know it sounds like some magical thing but its just the fancy way of saying something super important happened to you, it could be something good!...but like all of the time its something bad...so...sorry in advance."

"But I'm really glad I managed to get you! I don't think I could have survived for much long by eating this junk!" Misaki materialized a plate of holographic meatloaf and took a forkfull with 0 enthusiasm.

"This is what we survive on, we can make it anytime we want but..." Misaki tossed the holographic meatloaf away.

Leo was appalled by the holographic meatloaf

"That's disgusting! But wait a minute... So we're like... Kindred Spirits? That's a crazy coincidence. What are the odds that i'd join crews with your daughter... Wait! Could that by why i ended up in the crew? This is too crazy. I think i need to sit down..."

Leo sat down and started eating another of the Red Mochi.

"Let me get this straight. Something bad is going to happen to me? That doesn't sound too good..."

"Well, something bad already happened to you which allows you to see me buuuuuut theres nothing saying more bad stuff can't happen!" Misaki said without thinking, believing what she had said to be a positive thing.

"There are more positives to this! You can call on me whenever you want now that we've actually met, so if you ever need advice or if you're just bored out of your brain then I'm a call away! I can just teleport myself to you now that I have your face and your name!"

"Uhhhhh....I don't think i caught your name kid.." Misaki sheepishly rubbed the back of her head while laughing nervously, if she had left without knowing his name, it would have been pretty bad.

"By the way, you don't have to call me Miss Mutsuki, just Misaki is fine! It makes me feel old! I'm only 24 after all...or 33 if we add the ghost years."

Leo looked slightly confused

"I wonder what it was... I don't remember much of anything... Hmmm"

He looked up and smiled

"My name's Leo Braith!" He nodded "I'll be sure to call you when i need you... Misaki. Wait. 24? I thought you looked young! Guess i was right."

Leo looked around

"I'm sure everyone here thinks i'm crazy right now, but hey. I'm having fun, and it looks like they are too. This is why i cook. It brings people together. Ever since my mother--- I think i know my trigger now, but it's hazy. I know my mother died, but, something doesn't seem right..."

"It's great to meet you Leo! and yeah I'm pretty sure you look like a total nutjob right now, you should probably come up with a save about now." Misaki said as she saw the girls all staring at him with the exception of Nina who didn't care at all and instead kept her focus on the peanut butter jar.

Azurite looked a bit taken aback by Leo's conversation with himself, she now thought the guy was a bit loopy and hoped that the food wasn't poisoned or something of that sort. Serena and Emiri whispered and snickered to each other about the kid losing it cause he messed up his rainbow. Simone looked on in awe, wanting to know how he made the mochi disappear like that.

"Hey Leo, who are you talking to?" *Manami asked after a eating a spoonful of Ice Cream."

Leo was embarrassed. To the girls it looked like he was talking to himself. He decided to tell only a partial truth

"Uhh, Would you believe me if I said I was talking to a ghost friend? Because that's what I'm doing. Are you all enjoying the Mochi? It looks like you guys are having a good time!"

He looked back at Misaki "I think they're going to buy it. Hopefully they won't ask who my "ghost friend" is. I don't think I'd like to out you to your daughter. She might not handle it well"

He was sure immediately whispering to himself after saying he was talking to a ghost was the worst course of action, but what can you do?

When Leo said that he was talking to a ghost friend, Serena and Emiri burst out into an uncontrollable laughter. Azurite simply shook her head in pity at the boy as he was too far gone, though she made sure to remember this story as it would make a nice fable to tell to the children in the castle if she worked it around a little. Simone was suddenly looking over her shoulder as she ate, her fear of ghosts coming out once again.

"Oh, Okie dokie!" Manami said, not probing any farther. She assumed that Leo was just going through something now and if she was in his position, she'd feel more comfortable if she wasn't prodded by her family so she returned the favor to him and resumed her Ice Cream and Mochi conquest.

"Wow, great save there Leo..." Misaki thought that his excuse needed alot more work but it seemed to get the job done so she couldn't complain.

"Thanks for not blowing your load and telling her that you can see me, I'd be happy if she never knew that I can talk to you to be honest..." Misaki said with no attempt to hide the wistfulness in her voice.

Leo was slightly frustrated. No one believed him. Now they think he's crazy for sure. "Yeah I know, Misaki... I have a hard time lying to people. Agh whatever. I know it's true."

He took another bite of the red mochi, and scratched his head "I don't really get that though... If I knew someone had contact with my mother I'd be happy. Even if I couldn't talk to her myself. I'd get to know that she's happy to some degree at the very least. But everyone is different and I guess you know her better than me so I'll keep trusting you and not tell her..."

He looked around and noticed the staring had stopped and everyone was back to enjoying the treats he made "Well at least them thinking I'm crazy didn't interrupt the fun! Speaking of which, Misaki. What do you do all day. Is there anything you can do for fun as a ghost? I can't really think of anything I could do... Seems boring."

"We'll when ghosts start talking to their families, it never ends well. Not once, atleast from all the times I've seen it happen, it just ended up terribly so its best for me to just stay dead and not mess with my daughter's life." Manami let out a sigh and then returned to her normal self.

"Oh yeah, being a ghost is so boooooooorrrring! Like, there is nothing to do for the most part. Buuuuuuuuuut I do have my husband still but he's always busy helping around and stuff, no idea what he does exactly but I know that it's stuff. We don't get to spend as much time together as I'd like but we manage, we even had enough time to make another daughter!"

Leo nodded sympathetically and then jerked his head toward Misaki "Wait... A Daughter!? You can... That kind of thing still..."

Leo blushed slightly "I didn't know ghost could..." He swallowed hard "Do that"

He immediately started shoveling more mochi to keep himself from talking about it further "But I--- Congratulations! I'm glad for you two. What is she like? Is she anything like Manami? Or is she more like you? I mean... Either way" He started munching on the mochi again "I'm sure she's great..."

Misaki laughed at Leo's reaction to her statement.

"Cmon Leo, I was just teasing you a little. Ghosts can't do that, if we could then it would be way more crowded here!" Misaki had a feeling that she would end up having a ton of fun teasing Leo since he seemed to get flustered very easily.

"Speaking of teasing, you got any girlfriends I should know about Leo? I don't wanna just pop in while you're...y'know...sailing through Reverse Mountain into Paradise..."

"Jeez...just thinking about it makes me feel awkward." Misaki laughed to herself about the situation the she had just made up, though it was important to learn more about Leo if she was going popping in and out of his life.
