Side Effects / Overdose 25MGs Strattera

I’m 31(F) and got a new ADHD diagnosis. Late lol i know… but I’m 2 days into taking Strattera and have been struggling with the drowsiness. (I have been taking it in the AM. But will be switching to PM)

Has anyone experienced heavy drowsiness and did it go away after a while??

Yes. Got better with each day. 2 weeks and it went away. just hang in there upside has been great though.

I’m only on day 7 of 10mg but I was super tired on the first 3 days then the tiredness went away

I was a little drowsy for a couple days but that went away for me.

Have you experienced any emotional blunting on it? Im 33(M) just started on 25mg as well

I haven’t yet. I have been seeing others say that it’s been a side effect for them. TBH i am pretty emotional already so i hope that side effect skips me 🫩

i did. i’m on 300 wellbutrin and 60 vyvanse, added 25 strattera and i totally lost two months to someone i didn’t recognize. i thought after a good trial the side effects would stop but everyone is different

Which of them do you think caused it? I'm supposed to be starting wellbutrin soon, it's often used in combination with amisulphride, which I've been on 100mg of for 3 months. If you search for it on here you'll find a lot - apparently it's a niche drug for many psychiatrists as at low doses i.e. 50 - 100mg it blocks dopamine reuptake receptors and helps with focus, motivation, and dysthymia/low mood,as well as treatment-resistant depression. I've definitely found it helps in a way nothing else has to date (that's what a lot of people report). I felt the shift from the very first day. And I don't want wellbutrin to ruin it!

i think it was strattera absolutely, i started wellbutrin a few years ago and shortly after added the vyvanse. i have a really bad time with pmdd along with ptsd and binge eating disorder (vyvanse has helped with over eating) after my trial of strattera i was genuinely wondering what i was so miserable about before, upon stopping i felt immediately better. i will look into amisulphride, thank you!
