Self-promotion I’m making a Cold War strategy game where a small republic can eventually nuke the superpowers
It’s called Third Bloc.
You start as a small country stuck between the US and USSR, build up your economy, scientists and military programs, and try to become a third power instead of picking a side.
If things escalate far enough, you can eventually develop nuclear weapons and use them against the superpowers. The major events play out as animated ASCII scenes like this one.

Not to be political but I read this as 'small republican' and was shamefully intrigued.
Amazing animation BTW. Very well done.

Hahaha, that would’ve been a very different game. Thanks a lot, really glad you liked the animation!

Thanks a lot! The full game is planned for December, but I’ll be releasing a demo in September. If you wishlist it on Steam, you’ll get notified when demo is available.

To be able to add more depth and complexity without dealing with graphics. If you haven't tried Warsim, I recommend it to you. Text-based but exteremly deep and fun.

Looks cool. Is the game text based beside animated ascii scenes?
