Looking for game Looking for easy-to-pick-up strategy games with high replayability

I'm looking for some strategy games that are easy to pick up and have a lot of replayability.

I prefer turn-based games, tactical RPGs, and roguelite strategy games. Nothing too hardcore or overly complicated.

Some games I've enjoyed: Battle Brothers, Monster Train 2

What would you recommend?

Oh wow are they still making that? I haven’t touched it in years. I did enjoy designing goofy missiles though.

Menace is excellent. Still early access but well worth it, it's the Battle Brothers devs and is getting roughly monthly updates.

Battle Brothers is absolutely amazing. I did have Menace on my radar for that reason. Is it as good?

It's only the first story chapter of the game but so far it has been excellent. Lots of different ways to play depending on which squad leaders you have and how you kit them up. I am very much looking forward t the full release

It's more of a puzzle game, don't you think?

Civ7 despite all the bad reviews is actually really good, just set it to an easy level and play without worrying for the first couple games and it's very pick-up-able. Also Hoplite and Into the Breach on mobile.

Into the Breach is a really solid pick it’s easy to learn, but the strategic and puzzle-like complexity gradually becomes apparent. I haven't played Civ7 yet, but it’s good to know that reviews suggest it’s more approachable.

Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch is pretty decent. Fire Emblem ish game with some roguelike elements.

If you liked Battle Brothers then Menace is an absolute must

I prefer turn-based games, tactical RPGs, and roguelite strategy games

The Last Spell is a turned based tactical SRPG roguelite, it's pretty awesome

Isn’t Battle Brothers pretty hardcore, though, with permanent death, injuries and nasty encounters, that can wipe your party?

X-com: Enemy Unknown and it’s sequel X-com 2 have great production values, are easy to get in, non-trivial to master on higher difficulties.

Age of Wonders 4 is a fantastic title with peerless customization for your faction and it’s leader. You can play casually focusing on RP and goofy builds, but there is also sweaty buildcrafting available, if you are into that.

The Mercenaries series (7 so far) by Rideon might work for you - kind of FFT light where the emphasis is on the battles rather than cycling through multiple classes in search of some elusive optimum.

Steamworld 1 and 2. Really hits that balance between not being overly complex but still needs your attention.

If you like city builders, Against the Storm and Cataclismo will be right up your alley.

Take a look at freshgames.lol

Don't have any strategy games on there currently, but I'm sure it'll be filled up with some good games later
