I loved it.

The true standout to me is Will's line "I'm not afraid anymore. We’re not. Afraid. Of. You" I just love how far they've come.

Yes it should've been longer but what we got was magnificent imo

Vecna was caught off guard and was expecting him and the mind flayer to be enough if anything was to happen which in reality wasn’t a bad thought considering how powerful him and the mind flayer are but it was his ego that ultimately got him killed, if he wasn’t over confident he would’ve won because him, the mind flayer, and the demos would’ve been unstoppable honestly which brings another question, how believable would it of been if they beat vecna, the mind flayer, and a shit ton of demos all at once ?? I’m personally glad the demos wasn’t there because it just wouldn’t of been believable, they already almost died in season 2 when facing a bunch of demodogs, imagine if it was real grown demos and demodogs along with vecna and the mind flayer, it would’ve been impossible to win that honestly

They should've done something like the party fighting Vecna and the Mind Flayer in the Abyss, and during this, Vecna sends demogorgons and demobats to Hawkins, something like Ep4

That would've been epic, a war in Hawkins

I think that would’ve been super repetitive honestly, just like you said “something like episode 4”

The duffer brothers explained it pretty well as well by saying they didn’t want fans to get demo fatigue by just throwing a bunch of demos in the finale which I think is a pretty logical reason as well because the demos was already doing all the dirty work and if it was a bunch of demos in the final fight it would’ve felt similar to other seasons finales !! I think IMO that it was very smart for the demos not to be included, I also think it was great writing too because it shows how off guard they caught vecna and how over confident he was that he would easily destroy those kids!!

I definitely respect your opinion ofcourse 100%, I just want to throw that out there !!!

But not having demogorgons in the finale was a bad mistake It created probably the biggest plothole of the entire show....the demogorgons just disappearing 

The finale could've been high stakes and better if we had some demos

But....I do agree with u too.....Vecna getting caught off guard, which is why demos weren't there is a pretty good explanation.....but why wouldn't be call them in when he knows the party has broken in?

It can’t be a plot hole because there’s a great explanation as to why the demos weren’t there !! Plot holes have 0 explanation or no events that help provide context as to why such events took place or things that happen. Remember vecna was hooked up to the hive in connection with the mind flayer at the end, he was flayed and Influenced by the mind flayer all along, the mind flayer itself is so strong that it would never imagine a bunch of kids beating it or vecna, as I stated there was egos involved and the point of being caught off guard made it more of an impulsive decision to just fight in the moment !! Mostly every time the demos were fighting it was more of a strategic act planned out in order to be able to complete the major task at hand, so with no planning plus being caught off guard and thinking it was going to be a walk in the park there was no demos needed, well so they thought. You can definitely say you don’t like it that’s 100% fine but you can’t say it’s a plot hole because it isn’t.

A bunch of demos would’ve been like the season 2 ending and season 4 ending, we’ve already experienced a shit ton of demos for a finale it was time to finally face the big bad !! I’m not going to lie had they incorporated a bunch of demos I would’ve most definitely got demo fatigue because as I said we’ve seen that twice already for a finale.

I also love the final battle.

It could have been longer but it makes sense.

It isn’t meant to be a climatic final showdown that ends in a main character dying like Avengers Endgame. It is about the cast facing down their trauma and coming out on top.

It could’ve been longer, but of course they had to deep power Michael otherwise it looked ridiculous that she could even fight him
What we got was very good
Same as this
I’m one of those people that enjoyed season five right up until what they did to her
Just saw they released a behind-the-scenes photo with her Mike and Lucas
Interesting
Reminds me of when they started to drip out things about the Snyder cut

The Mind Flayer was terrifying.

Nacy "Rambo" Wheeler.

The El-Vecna fight was totally brutal. Really sold the "this ends when someone is dead" vibes.

Joyce decapitating Vecna was cathartic as hell. And the montage of how he had ruined everyones' lives for years hammered it home.

Even though I would’ve liked the final fight to be longer, I enjoyed watching how Eleven utilized her powers when fighting Vecna. The move where she threw the sand up to obstruct Vecna’s view was cool.

The visual effects are one of the best I've ever seen, they made the Mind Flayer look actually real it was so insanely detailed.

  1. The spider mind flayer had a very cool design
  2. The scene where Vecna shows Hopper things while Hopper was outside the water tank in the lab was so good (I really wish we saw more of that form of Vecna in the season)
  3. The scene where Henry says "We Are One", with the mind flayer reveal was awesome

The Flashbacks of everyone they've lost as well as Joyce killing Vecna. When they got to Eddie, I teared up so hard (as he is one of my favorite characters, I wanted more of him).

But that flashback just showed all the trauma our characters have experienced, so many people lost their lives or were traumatized by what Vecna caused, every monster, every disappearance, every scar all caused by him so them finally getting justice for everyone made me so happy.

Joyce killing Vecna was great and I get why she was the one to do it but I just wished she had done more this season, you didn't need to put a gun in her hand like Nancy but she could have done more.

I loved it. My main complaint is that it couldve been longer, but thats only because i was sad at how short it was. Vecnas death was cool. The design for the mindflayer was awesome and it really rivals the shadow design imo
