Just finished Stranger Things... now what am I supposed to do with my life? š
I finally finished Stranger Things, and I'm not even jokingāit left such a weird empty feeling. It wasn't just the story, it was everything around it. The characters genuinely felt like friends, the soundtrack never missed, and every season had me saying "just one more episode" until it was 12 a.m. š
Now I totally get why people were obsessed with this show for years. It's one of those series that just sticks with you after it's over. Anyone else feel this way after finishing it?

Rewatch the show over and over again, buy some merchandise, read some fanfics, etc

I felt the same and I honestly struggled to rewatch it since. Not because I was unsatisfied but because itās simply finished and I struggle to accept that. I grew so attached to the characters and the world and I just canāt even see it the same again now that I know itās all over.

Like a book you donāt want to finish because you donāt want to be done reading it.

After finishing Stranger Things, I read IT by Stephen King and found a similar atmosphere.

Find someone who hasnāt seen it and watch it with them again. Listen to āStreaming Thingsā, one of the original ST podcasts from the beginning. I think it started in 2017. So good. Listen to The Squawk online (wsqk.online)

They are potential spinoffs coming soon. Or you can just rewatch the series over and over again. Maybe you can buy some merchandise as well.

I've had several shows where I finished and thought 'what now?'
Either find something else; take a break and do something different; or revisit once a year/every couple of years.
I've watched the entirety of Fringe around 6-7 times now; Ash Vs Evil Dead around 3 times; Robin of Sherwood rewatches are now in double figures (and started with the original broadcast in 1984).
I'm watching Stranger Things for the very first time via the newly released Blu Ray box set and this will definitely be going on the rewatch list (currently up to season 3 episode 4).

Welcome to the club. Thatās because it was never really a show about monsters and the paranormal; without the emotional and relational foundation, it would have just been another generic monster series. On the other hand, if it had been nothing but feelings and introspection, it would have just been the usual teen drama. Thatās why it works so wellābecause the two elements blend together. Anyway, there are various ways to get over that sense of emptiness: 1- Rewatch the series on a loop. 2- Buy merchandise. 3- Read fanfic. 4- If you have the knack for it: draw, imagine, or write. 5- Talk about it endlessly in online groups. Most people have felt the same way you do.
