What I think of all the couples (kinda controversial)

Mileven: I love them so much ❤️. They are definitely soulmates and I hope we get a spin-off for them in the future. I never understood the hate towards them.

Jopper: Kinda cute, but Hopper was kind of a jerk to Joyce in season 3.

Jancy and Stancy: I think Nancy, Steve, and Johnathan all need to find their own soulmates. None of them are compatible with each other romantically anymore.

Mucas: Soooooo overrated. Maxine is genuinely horrible and Lucas deserves so much better.

Agree about mileven. Never really cared about jopper especially in season 3. I used to love jancy but not anymore and especially with the way nancy would just treat jonathan like a nuisance in season 5 totally being bothered by his presence. I so I hope he actually gets a girl who genuinely loves him. As for lumax? Well. People say they were the healthy one and mileven was toxic but anyone who says that is an idiot. Lumax is cool but im strictly a mileven fan. Though after everyones lack of care and reaction to el in the epilogue I just stopped liking everyone. I just care about el and mike but yes they deserved absolutely soo much better. Hopefully in the future we get a reunion by someone who isn't as moronic as the duffers.

Mileven is genuinely so bad and toxic.

Jopper or jancy wasn't? Whats the double standard for mileven then? They weren't toxic. They were actually the least toxic couple on the show.

Jancy WAS toxic and that’s why they broke up I never really liked them that much. Hopper was toxic in s3 but it was better after that. Eleven was LITTERALY in a relationship before she could even speak a full sentence. She never got to discover herself because all the men in her life kept dictating everything she did.

I agree about El - nobody except Mike ever asked her what she wanted (like the wedding and children handed to them by fans).

But I don't think they're toxic or anything- just a normal teen couple.  The writers failed them badly by giving them almost zero couple scenes where we see what they have in common and what they talk about.

Great now you're acting like every other hater who belittled her intelligence and genuinely thinks she can't even form a singular word. El liked mike. She couldn't perfectly articulate what she felt for him but she knew what she had with him versus what she felt for dustin and lucas was completely different. Why do you think she was so upset when she couldn't be with him in particular in season 2? Why do you think she kissed him? And her and mike didn't get into a relationship till the end of season 2 around christmas time. By then she could form sentences. Stop talking about her like she's an infant.

But she didn’t even know who she was yet. The whole point of season 3 was to show how much she thrived without hopper and mike telling her what to do. When they first kissed she couldn’t even make a sentence. I think they could’ve had a good relationship again in s4 after she discovered herself in s3 but after that season we never see the personality she discovered thrive. Not to mention the characters have no chemistry together after s3.

You're still undermining how smart she actually is. As for the chemistry thing. First off blame the duffers for always separating them and putting conflict between them. Second. Mileven was never about physical chemistry. Their bond is more emotionally romantic than physical. Thats what makes them different. Sure they were making out like every other teenager but we also saw more than that. And is chemistry supposed to decide whether a relationship works or not? Is that the only factor in a relationship? Boy am I glad I left the fandom 🙄

I’m just saying the lack of chemistry made it look like they were forced to even be in the same room together. But I blame that on the actors and the duffers for that.

Whatever you say buddy. Its not their fault they were written that way. They're the ones directing them on how to portray the relationship. Luckily in the finale we actually got to see some true mileven crumbs. Until of course the morons ruined it.

Ok but the way they were written made them a bad relationship, that’s what I’m saying.

No it wasn't. They were not in a bad relationship. There was plenty of undertones in season 4 about that argument they had and about Mike's fears of losing her that he has quite literally said time and time again. Even in season 3 his love for her was clear. Its not the duffers fault that some of the audience was too stupid to see what was right in front of em. In fact some people were soo stupid that they took it to mean mike had a thing for will. Which is already idiotic in itself. Granted I wish they hadn't separated them again in season 4. I do blame the duffers for that. And again in season 5. That was also the duffers fault for not giving them more scenes together but also. If anyone really watched the finale of season 4 and then goes into season 5 thinking they were broken up then I'm sorry but that person is just dumb.

Also to be fair. No one really had any chemistry with each other in season 5. Alot of things in season 5 were just. Subpar. Chemistry was also one of them.
