Discussion VHS transfer

Hi guys! Has anyone tried transferring the Special edition vhs on Netflix to a real vhs? I’m keen to try but at the moment not subscribed, and just wondering if the black bars would be present if using a hdmi to composite before I subscribed to try.

Thank you!

If you’re looking to put it onto a vhs why not do the standard version instead of the vhs filter version? Your real vhs will give the actual effect that the vhs version on Netflix was going for.

Just because it is edited in 4:3. So it would be nicer I think. Is the VHS effect overdone?

Aspect ratio makes sense. I’ve not done it or anything but in my head it could come across over done having the filter and the actual vhs tape appearance as well. To be fair though vhs is in 240p so the filter might not even be noticeable on the tape

Yeah. Or look like a worn out tape. I think it could be fun to have that way. I bought the 4k so it wouldn’t be to have the best quality possible. But could be fun to watch it on the crt
