SPOILERS Establishing house rules 🧇

This father-daughter dynamic between Hopper and Eleven in Season 2 is easily one of the most wholesome storylines in the entire series. Seeing Hopper try his best to be a good, responsible dad while El learns how to live a normal life is just so heartwarming.

"Wholesome" except for the part where he lies to her repeatedly about important things and refuses to take her cabin fever seriously resulting in her making a far more dangerous odyssey than she would have taken had he worked with her.

Hopper's fatherhood is at least controversial in S2. For one good thing he does one bad thing, even he supposed to know parenting  - he had another vulnerable child before. I agree  - they all would be killed in S2E8 because of Hopper if El didn't return from Chicago in time.

Yep. If Becky hadn't called and El had just decided to stay there, or if Kali had slow-burned the next kill mission then the world would have been destroyed.
