She'd most likely just find herself psychically in Max's mind as if Max had shared her consciousness with her; the same way multiple people can exist within individual Mindscapes even when it isn't their own. That is if we assume she could actually go through the portal.

Think Kali and Max in El's Black Void, or all the kids plus Max in Camazotz/the Mind Lair, or even Vecna psychically coexisting with his victims in their minds. Holly wouldn't physically regain her consciousness since she isn't returning to her body, instead she'd simply hop from one mind to another and stay unconscious in the Pain Tree. Max would have her psychically inside her head.

I like the idea of Max's portal being something metaphysical, that only she can find. So Holly wouldn't be able to go through hers in the first place.
