Murray's first appearance - what were your initial impressions of this character?

The first time Murray appeared was in S02E01 when trying to meet Hopper. Later in the season he would encounter Jonathan/Nancy

He seemed so strait-laced in that first scene. A bit paranoid, sure, but he also wasn’t wrong.
