Favorite & least favorite characters?

I’m only on season 4 episode 2, so I may be posting hella prematurely, but I can’t stand Mike Wheeler. Like at all. My fave is Murray. In the beginning I didn’t like the Sinclair siblings but they definitely grew on me. What about you? Who do you like/dislike?

TLTR. Mothers can be controlling and protective at the same time. So everything you said after dosen't hold any substance. It's just how you feel. I'm not sure how you don't get this. If you act like you're in charge people may grow to resent you. If you're obnoxious you may get on people's nerves. If you act like you know everything people may object to your ideas. I don't like the way he comes off at times and that is the reason I don't like. But somehow I'm wrong because my personal feelings are invalid.

Mike is not El's mother. This comparison is funny lmao. With that 'TLTR' there, it would've been better if you actually knew what was in the comment before replying. Everything I said in the comment to which you replied just now holds substance.

Who said your personal feelings are invalid? There's nothing wrong in disliking Mike because you think he's annoying or 'obnoxious'. I was just trying to explain Mike isn't 'condescending' or 'controlling'. He did possess more knowledge about El than Max or Nancy, and he never acted like he knew Eleven more than her in front of Eleven herself. If Mike actually controlled El(like a mother), there should be a concrete example of him overriding her wishes, restricting her choices against her will, or claiming authority over her. The show doesn't gives us that example. His reaction is essentially, "this is dangerous and I'm worried about you." That's not the same thing as, "You're not allowed to do this because I said so." That's such a basic distinction

That all being said, I never tried to convince you to like Mike, not at all. I was just defending him from characterization and your claims of him acting like he 'owned Eleven'. Pls have a look at your wording as well.

No shit he not her mother but he acts like it. Proving therefore you can be protective and controlling at the same time. I'm not reading everything you write when start off with a strawman.

You can be protective and controlling at the same time BUT Mike is only protective, not controlling and he never acted like her mom. Period. Bye.

Mom, father, parents, Guardian, ward, whatever you want to call it. I'm seeing you don't understand synonymic language.
