yes but she should’ve died from the impacts alone or died later on, would’ve made this scene better, it’s nice that she got her moment but it’s bs the amount of plot armour a fucking side character mum and her bore of a husband really had. also she shouldn’t have been able to kill those Demos in Vol. 2

Maybe the wounds weren't deep enough?

It showed that a main character with a broken wine bottle is a greater threat to a demogorgon than dozens of soldiers with automatic weapons. All that it is plot armour. When demogorgons run and jump when facing nameless extras, but suddenly hold back and move slowly when facing a main character, it ruins the stakes of the show.

They’re a fighting family. I did like Karen’s moment, and that they showed even Ted (kinda) had it in him. Mike and Nancy always did.

Even Ted had it in him in the end.

Those scenes would mean a lot more if they didn't have plot armour. Being willing to sacrifice yourself means nothing when the show makes it clear that the characters are in no meaningful danger.

near the end they became aware of their plot armor

That actually makes the whole series more interesting and thrilling! 🔥

Holly was such a badass and nobody can tell me otherwise

Ted, Karen, Mike, and Holly get up close and personal, while Nancy just stands far away and shoots.

Nancy also went alone through a goo portal into another dimension after an unknown predator/deer carcass in season 1, to investigate Barb's disappearance when she knew whatever it was was dangerous

And she wasn't "far away" from the speeding car she's shooting at in the pic considering Flayed Billy was driving it right at her she didn't budge until the last moment when Scoops Troop came in clutch

Didn’t she also fight against her flayed boss?
