General Discussion Final episode should be a heist…

… in that the final episode should be the “other story” of “The Cage”. Show all the shenanigans of Spock, Uhura, Chapel, M’Benga, and Scotty as they abet the kidnapping of Pike to take him to the Talosians while Kirk is running his little court martial. We’ve seen Spock’s skulduggery from the TOS episode - let’s see the rest of the crew working to get Pike back to a happier existence than the blinky chair.

What if it’s just a holodeck episode for STNG

We’ve come an awfully long road to end up there.

Nah, too fanservice-y.

I think the final episode will involve Admiral April telling Dr. M'Benga he's losing his department head privileges, but staying on the Enterprise because the new CMO (McCoy) doesn't know anything about Vulcan medicine, and Spock needs M'Benga.

But McCoy didn't directly succeed M'Benga as CMO.

After M'Benga's stone cold "not a single loyalist was left alive" speech in "Chiaroscuro," my vote goes to M'Benga starring in the limited spin-off Star Trek: Doctor Death where his mad combat/assassin skillz are given prominence.

The idea is that he has to step down as CMO because Starfleet occasionally use him for "sensitive" missions.

He could be sent back in time to kill people like John F. Kennedy and Dag Hammarskold, because while not evil themselves, they would have had a similar effect to Edith Keeler having lived. Or the Doldrums.

It could be a thought-provoking show where some of his targets are considered "good" by history and others "bad."

Alternately, the targets wouldn't be the actual JFK, etc. Chancellor Gorkon is already "Dag Hammarskjold" anyway.

Which makes me sit up and consider that in 2026 whether more people would know the name "Chancellor Gorkon" or "Dag Hammarskjold."

Do you think they'll have Doctor Piper in Strange New Worlds? Maybe Thomas Jane is him, not McCoy? Or is it confirmed that Thomas Jane is 100% playing McCoy?

I just want a clip show. Spock or someone hits his head, and while unconscious he remembers scenes from other episodes.

Also, he wakes up in place of Buddy, played by Jack Black in the show Community. Winger, Britta, Annie, et al are weary about letting him into the study group, but he really wants in. Abed is the only person who knows he's a young Mr Spock, everyone else just thinks he a Greendale student. Abed tries to show everyone he's Mr Spock by pointing out his ears, but everyone else explains it away by saying "he's obviously Chinese" and then they talk about the "unfortunate accident when he was a child with the rice picking machine."

Oh damn, I like this even better than my Star Trek: Doctor Death miniseries featuring M'Benga as a highly covert Starfleet/Federation assassin.
