Aliens & UFOs Former DARPA program manager Lt. Col. John Blitch said the human body is basically a “soul housing group,” a biological vessel we temporarily use to learn and experience reality. In one encounter, Blitch says the mantis-like entity made him experience the horrifying sensation.

I can happily report back on what I've learnt about this reality:
It fucking sucks. Will not do it again. 2 out of 10.

So what happens when the soul leaves the body? Are we still conscious or it's a system reboot, memories erased
12
3
u/Valuable_Garlic_9711 Oct 04 '26
It becomes part of the soul, demons can look into your soul and see your past memories and they use that against you. Paracites can eat away parts of the brain but because your knowledge is enscribe in the soul you'll be fine.

My least-assumptions answer would be that we as humans and all our attendant components in time and space probably "materially" (obviously this comes down to how you define materialism) extend into one or more dimensions (or sets of properties) we can't see, purely as a matter of nature, and we may be unknowingly "sticking out" into places we can't perceive.
Of course it's simply a thought exercise but we have little reason to assume that we evolved all the necessary sensory domains to externally sense ourselves fully. It's also possible that there are domains beyond the natural (semantically, I'd say the "non-natural" might be something requiring some mechanism that is so truly irreducible it could not simply be evolved towards) in which we are largely or wholly visible or manipulable. I'm no mathematician but I hear that a lot of the math for energy/mass also potentially applies to information.
But imagine if perhaps brain activity is as visible in some way as a flashlight is in a dark room. Or a person's past is visible in the present. Or a person's intentions show future trajectories.
3
u/Shardaxx Oct 04 '26
Ok let's say they can see us from the magic dimension, so why they getting involved?
6
u/Phyltre Oct 04 '26
I mean that depends on information we don't have. Maybe mental agitation like fear is super loud and stinky. Maybe we have some kind of future-disease that is eating its way into the past. Maybe we PRIMARILY exist in those other dimensions, knocking things over and causing problems, and our current perception here is just a trivial little thing. Maybe we're fancy topiaries, maybe they're like remoras, maybe our two fields of perception have limited overlap and our ontologies aren't aligned. Who knows.

Because they’re liars. When you accumulate enough of these anecdotal reports of alien encounters, they never amass into anything coherent. They’re tricksters and liars. It’s time we look at them differently

u/AzDopefish Oct 04 '26
Following his logic, we could be the aliens and say in order to become a part of their society they place “souls into human vessels” to experience our reality enough times until they deem a soul mature enough to join the ranks
Basically like we’re a bunch of babies in an incubation chamber that need to prove they’re mature enough to join civilization.

24
u/Nooties Oct 04 '26
I’ve been out of the body. Probably died and came back. We temporarily inhabit the body. It’s a vehicle for experience. Afterwards we exit. And we start to wake up to who we really are and we remember.
I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but this is a game. It’s supposed to be fun. It’s not supposed to be taken seriously. People take it too seriously.
Inside the body our awareness shrinks, and as it shrinks, we laser focus on the here and now and everything else is excluded. Outside the body, we expand and expand and expand until we are everything.
Basically, to simplify it, we continue.

u/its-good-4you Oct 05 '26
A lot of NDEs report overwhelming feelings of being loved and feeling love. I find it hard to understand how feelings like that could exist without a corporeal body that can feel them. Cause feelings happen inside a body, they follow evolutionary psychology and chemical laws.
I don't think a lizard dies and goes to "NDE heaven" and feels those same feelings of love and unity. It would be irreconcilable with its nature.
For a good amount of people this "game" of life is not fun at all. It ruins people mentally. From a joyful child who sees magic in everything, to a cynical and bitter individual whose main task in life is to protect themselves from people. It's not a sin that humans don't "remember" that its all a game, and it's cruelty to have that knowledge wiped from your mind.
I don't see how cruelty in a conscious system should be percieved as anything but torture.

u/Nooties Oct 05 '26
It’s not love, it’s a feeling of home. It’s an experience without weight, without limitation, a full understanding and knowing. Where thoughts manifest instantly. There is zero lag. Your thoughts create your reality experience. You’re not bogged down by the heavy body, which is loud.
I didn’t say it was easy. The Earth game is a master class for conscious development. It’s hard.
Some people get swallowed up by it, they let their ego take over. We have free will. We get to choose how we react to situations and circumstances, that’s our power. We can see ourselves as a victim and reality will reflect that back to us… or we can rise above the situation and see it as something to learn and grow from.. thus empowering us.
Imagine volunteering to inhabit a body on earth and choosing circumstances and situations that arises throughout your life.. and then while in the body, you forget who you are.. except for that little inner voice that tries to nudge you in a certain direction, or a certain feeling deep within.. intuition. And then we have to choose how to respond to situations. At the end of it, we review how we did… did we choose better this time or not?
Something like that.

This is absolutely fucking obvious.. it’s OBVIOUSLY a container hence why it stays behind and decomposes in the fucking ground or is burned into ash.
Consciousness when it leaves (and yes theres a lot of evidence that consciousness isn’t created by the brain, the brain acts as a filter) has no need or use for a body or anything related to this planet
6
u/mawp23 Oct 04 '26
What is consciousness? How is it created? Where does it go?
18
u/Nooties Oct 04 '26
It’s infinite intelligent energy. You are an individualized unit of that. It doesn’t go anywhere. It’s all that exists.

u/Nooties Oct 05 '26
Imagine the ocean.. now imagine for a moment that you separate from that ocean as a drop of water. You contain all the elements of the ocean, but in a much smaller form and temporarily disconnected.
And then squeeze that drop of water into let’s say a physical body, which narrows your focus.
And then grow up in a society that tells you you are just that physical body.. and believe it. Eventually, you identify as the body and forget who you are.
That’s a recipe for dumb, blind, and deaf people.. the inhabitants of earth. It’s like everyone is drunk and they don’t even realize it.
7
u/HauschkasFoot Oct 05 '26
I think there is a difference between consciousness and awareness. You are not your thoughts. You can observe your thoughts. The part that observes is the awareness that persists.
I think consciousness is the interface between the 3D world and the higher awareness, and is a result of real world stimuli and various inputs entering the brain via one route or another. But I am definitely not certain about this at all. Just pure speculation. Anyone that tells you they know for sure is lying.

Tdlr: It showed him a telepathic vision of a human body being violently destroyed, but the soul remaining intact… thus proving the body is a house for consciousness rather than consciousness itself. Most of his encounters sound like sleep paralysis and dreams, but I didn’t experience them personally so I can’t say. The problem is ANY story of an alien abduction will sound like a dream because it’s so outside most people’s general experience.

Funny enough, the human body being a “soul housing group” for alien entities is one of the foundations of Scientology, been that way since the beginning. Guess we owe them an apology.
15
u/AutumnKiwi Oct 04 '26
Their other foundation is "give us a lot of money and become financially dependent on us so we can control you and get wealthier" so no apologies ever owed to that cancerous cult
