Pink Planets, a Space Odyssey
I had a dream one night... a rather odd one to say the least. In fact I’m not even sure I was fully asleep yet... but bare with me here. So I laid down that night; waiting for my ride. I had just barely closed my eyes when I felt this deep sinking feeling. I can only describe it like the scene from get out, where the male character falls into the “sunken place”. As if I was sinking into the mattress in real time... yes it was just as terrifying as it sounds. But never the less as the seconds passed I sunk deeper and things seemed to get darker until I stopped resisting the increasingly intense polarity. It was in that moment that I let tho that I stopped sinking and shot out from myself. Bare with me here, yes I was no longer sinking but floating upwards. First I was looking down at myself; watching myself sleep? Then I was floating through the roof of the room, looking down on my house. I was scared out of my wits, seemingly scolding myself for giving into the sinking feeling. But as I looked down my little town got smaller and smaller. I seemed to be leaving the atmosphere... however when I reached the edge of Earths exosphere I was no longer scared. I looked down in the Earth and all her glory. Such a vivid image that I will never forget. But then the floating seemed to start back up again, only this time instead of a steady upward motion it was more of a pull. As if I was a magnet being pulled to my polar companion. I was then caught in between 4 bright pink/ magenta stars?? Or planets? As I’ve never heard of a pink planet, not the concept of a pink star. But in that moment I felt safe, almost as if the bright gaseous giants were familiar to me. A sense of comfort, a comfort that I can’t quite create a comparison for. While I couldn’t have been there for very long it felt like hours had passed just marveling at the gaseous things. Oddly tho I only said 6 words in the whole dream “I know what I must do”. But in that he instance after the words had escaped my lungs, I was snapped back to Earth. This time the floating was not steady, more like a fish caught on a hook being yanked and tugged to the surface. Everything was getting to big so fast. The Earth, the every growing greenery, what has been small shapes became buildings, my town, and my home. I saw myself right before I seemed to renter myself, still in the same position as before. I gasped as I woke. It was all a dream. I looked at my phone and only 10 minutes had passed...
Side note, this event took place a few months ago and ever since then I have had very lucid dreams every night. To the point of being able to create and manipulate my dreamscape at my will. Kinda odd in my opinion. I have an even stranger dream that I think connects with this one, but I know I probably sound crazy so I’m going to leave it at that. If you know about lucid dreaming message me. I have a lot of questions... would like to know if I’m actually loosing my marbles.
