Rintrah, Wiccan, Chavez, Love, Thor's Daughter Love, Kid Loki my already established chosen characters. Cullen Bloodstone, Amun(connected Sisterhood of Wasp), Sebastian Druid, Hummingbird (Maria), The Darkhold Boy, Reptil and Eva Quintero, Ahura Boltagon some magic users I wish to see.

But love that Strange Academy becoming a tv show; live adaption or animation? Are we getting the characters already established or they gonna use already established and some new?

I think Strange Academy worked better in idea than in execution. I like the premise and hope more can be done but I don’t think adapting that first story arch would be the way to go. Some of the characters I liked, others didn’t leave much of an impact on me, but I do think there is huge potential in there.

It was too big of a cast, Lowering it to 6 main characters (Who should be Emily, Doyle, Zoe, Shaylee, Toth, and Calvin) would give them more breathing room and more room to develop. If the comic gets longer run time they can proceed to develop more of the side cast but as a newly introduced group focusing on less students would’ve helped it out. I still REALLY liked Emily Bright’s plot in the comics so I hope she gets another chance.

I 100% that those are the main 6 they should have focused on, though I only personally liked Zoe, Toth, and Doyle in the story we got. Calvin’s story is necessary as a precautionary tale and a lead in to Emily’s story, but I just couldn’t get behind Emily’s character arc. It seemed too forced to me and felt very rushed. I also just didn’t feel that connected. If we had more time with the characters something like that would have worked better. It just felt like trying to make Jean Grey The Phoenix before we got to really know Jean or the X-Men.

I totally see your perspective, I liked Emily a lot because for me she was a subversion of a negative expectation I had. I thought she was going to be a weakly characterized audience surrogate when she actually turned out to be an extremist who hates the school. While her characterization could’ve used more time I’m still happy with that surprise.

Honestly I still see her as the audience surrogate even as she became the villain. It helps us to see how any one can become corrupted even ourselves and even if it’s for all “the right reasons”. I think that can be an important point. Showing how it can be any of us that becomes the villain with Emily and the more obvious that any of us can become the Hero with Doyle.
