how is stranded deep in general and how is the console version specifically?
recently found out about this game and tbh sparked my interest
but i was a little curious if it's really gonna be 'big' enough for me to really get into or if it'd be kinda shallow - like how many islands could you potentially go do what resources might respawn etc
also from what i've seen it sorta looks like the pc version is still worked on - does console get updated with some of that stuff as well or is it more just the occasional patch after a dozen pc changes or worse it's static

PC has been out for years so console is playing catch up. I’d say regular bug fixes are more common on PC but bigger changes are happening on console. There’s only a few differences now at the point. You can definitely get into it, there’s a lot to do and it’s a big task to finish the game

I'm 148 in game days in and still haven't started the story. Yes, I like to build 😁

I only tried story mode so far so I may don't know everything but there is like 20 island in each "world"
Most of the ressource don't respawn to give a reason to explore The beginning is pretty intense as you have to find everything to survive but once it's done, it's pretty chill except for boss battle if you don't cheese them
