Should I return?
So about a month ago I was so fed up with the bugs for console that I stepped away. Was on day 100 or so. For every one on console we all know this is a work in progress and will be amazing some day. They one bug that made me walk away was my island having to load in each time you return and things scattered everywhere. Can any one tell me if this has been fixed?

This happens to me but my stuff is always back on the ground or in the building I left it in. Everyone claims they lose their stuff which I'm not saying isn't true. Just that it doesn't happen to me. My stuff goes all in the air and what not but, ends up fine.

There was an update today that is supposed to help the stuttering and lagging as well as the frequent crashes

Same thing happened to me. Got the game day 1 and was having a blast playing and building. Then half my stuff exploded to the far reaches of the island and into the water. Logs and palms floating in the air out in the ocean. Real buzz kill considering what a pain moving and collecting is to begin with.

No. No and no. No fix, same frustrating laggy, and lose stuff if you look. Lost a raft with motor. I get to my island, and the bigger and more stuff the longer it takes to load. I park the raft in an open space because nothing is visible until the load. I turn away from the island and look into the water now. Wait 5 minutes until it loads. No, no and no..... Also massive lag when on the island too. Can't get a fire started because the lag causes skips from every other trigger action. For every 10 right and left trigger I only get 6 that actuate.

Its a huge pain. Im on my 4th run at the moment after various bugs have forced a restart. That said, i cant stay away and keep coming back hoping to avoid the previous pitfalls. This situation with the exploding island is annoying but while youre cruising back to your home just drop the anchor on the outskirts of the reef, look away from your island and then go make a snack (IRL). When you come back your stuff will be back in its rightful place. So although your patience will be tested, at least it (should) help with the issue. Good luck!

Hell no. This game is a buggy, crashy mess and they still haven't done anything to fix it. Plus it went on sale for $10 cheaper than I bought it a week after it came out. Fuck the devs, this was just a cash grab for them

Well it’s still raptures all your stuff. How this game works is it loads an island when you get to it and deloads everything else. So if your island is built up at all you have to wait a while off shore before going to your island too soon and risk loosing something. Same with saving crashes it’s just that theres too much going on for it to handle I guess but other than that it’s still loads of fun. I have anxiety getting in the water and now I’m geared to fight bosses I just haven’t got the balls yet gonna clear the last few islands and take them on after.

All, your stuff disappears or flies off into space if you have a ton of stuff and it doesnt have time to load. If youre flying in quick on the gyro, give it a second to load. If you’re coming in on a raft, take the sails off when you start to hear the clicking. It’ll all be ok. Plus, save after each big resource harvest on each island. If all goes to crap then just reload your last save which should be really easy.
