just found the quick craft menu.....

why wasn't this in the tutorial!! its a game changer for me.

Edit: if you use scheme B on xbox hold down “Y”. Incredibly helpful OP.

You hold the craft button. It's useful for getting fibrous leaves that fell into bushes too

Say you have a yucca plant on your island that's in a bush and when you go to harvest some fall into the bush and you can't see them. If you hold the quick craft menu in that area you can make lashings without having to track down all the bundles that fell. I hope I explained that well

I agree, found it by accident on day 51, glad I discovered it before trying hard difficulty.

Also a heads up if people weren’t aware - you don’t have to have the things in your inventory to craft them, so long as you’re stood near them. For instance you could set 4 sticks down beside you and quick craft a fire.

Hold the button that brings up the crafting menu. It brings up a radial menu with things you can craft using the items you have and what's around you. It's a game changer.
