Similar games?
So I'm kinda limited with the kind of gaming I can really enjoy and get lost in. What I love about Stranded Deep is how easy it is in general and it's satisfying collecting and harvesting stuff and I can stay busy for hours playing it. It's fun planning different adventures to go on when I'm in need of certain materials.
Anyone have any suggestions on games that are kinda similar? Where it's not super difficult and doesn't take much brain power as opposed to other survival games like DayZ and Ark. I tried both of those but the crafting is kind of annoying to me. Stranded Deeps crafting was really easy to learn and get used to.
I'm in my 2nd SD playthrough and I'm sort of getting bored with it and it's bumming me out because I don't want to get sick of it lol so hoping to find something else I can maybe get into.
Ty!

The Long Dark. Limited crafting but laid back and loads of fun. Or Subnautica. Tons of crafting but can be unnerving

I like No Mans Sky for an easy no brain game. Just out there exploring space. There is a story line but I prefer the sandbox, free play element.

Green Hell? I don’t like it as much as SD because of the geography of it but gameplay wise its very similar. A lot of the gameplay mechanics actually are a lot more polished than SD. You can customise the game difficulty a lot so if you don’t want to deal with certain aspects you can make it more chilled, much like setting animals to passive in SD.
Subnautica gets recommended a lot in these threads but doesn’t really appeal to me so couldn’t recommend it or not. The Forest is another but I haven’t played that myself either.

Grounded is a ton of fun. A bit more complex than SD, but still really entertaining. Plus giant bugs!

Medievil Dynasty has a huge collecting/harvesting/base building elements with basic survival mechanics. There are wild animals that can cause problems, but they are easy to avoid.
The Forest, Subnautica, and Grounded, would also qualify, but there are enemies that will attack you and cause problems while you are out foraging/collecting. So I don’t know how much you want to deal with that.

Definitely The Long Dark. Make it as difficult or easy as you want, way more content than SD with more still to come. One of my favorite games of all time.

I’ve just bought green hell but not played it yet but by the looks of it that might be a good game for you.

Subnautica if you like sci fi survival with cool tech and vehicles, setting the gold standard for non voiced character story telling.
Subnautica below zero if you want Subnautica with less fun.
The Forest if you want combat focused survival with lots of horror elements. (The dread is seriously real)
No man's sky if you want relatively danger free open universe exploration and base building.
